There seems to be no difference in getting mental health care and being able to get it. The whole debate around gun control often revolves around mental health care. But in one of the latest reports about the shooting that's the topic of this thread, they are conflated:

"Neal’s behavior escalated from a bad temper as a teenager to something more uncontrollable as he got older, Orr said. When he would call family members in a rage, upset about something, they would tell him that he needed to go to a mental health facility and that he needed medication. He would always refuse and he never received an official diagnosis, Orr said.

“He never should have had guns and he should’ve been able to get mental health care,” she said."

But the real correct answer didnt even occur to me. Have to hand it to the psychopaths. They are smart!

I wasn't trying to attack you or give you a hard time for anything. Just pointing out you had your mass shooting threads mixed up. What you posted was not relevant to this particular shooting or this thread about it.

When mass shootings are the topic, mental health is almost always mentioned, at least in the context of preventing such things from happening again. But if you think post #25 is closer to the topic, we could go back to that.

That's not really relevant to the shooting either. What I was trying to point out to Landon was that him being an atheist was about as pointless as pointing out he's white.

That, and that atheism is not a belief. It is the absence of a particular belief.
