  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Lately I’ve had this abstract thought stuck in my head and I’d like to share it. So humor me :)

It’s been said there are no husbands and wives in heaven.

Then in Revelations it mentions second Earth. So I was pondering this and it came to me that if Adam and Eve had kids then maybe Gods people during this time of second Earth might be allowed to marry and have kids. Thoughts?

I have no idea. We are not in Heaven yet, or on the Second Earth, so we must not make any speculations about what happens after death besides the account in Revelations. Just subtract your current age from 80 or 90, and that will tell you in how many years we will meet Jesus at the longest. I am basically 25, so I will be seeing Jesus in roughly 60 years assuming no accidents, then this might be sooner.

LOL! I knew a young man once, in his mid through his late forties, who prophesied the return of Yashuah in 1998. I have since completed better than 35 years of study and try not to be foolish again.

I have thought about this as well ... a lot actually LOL

The bible does talk about children being on the New earth (animals as well) ... also the bibles teaching is ultimately the restoration of all things or everything re-created "new". Also talks about us building homes to live in and enjoying the bounty of tending the new garden (Isaiah 65:17- 25)

Before the fall ... everything was created perfect ... so it's logical to think back to God's original perfect creation is the restoration of all things (as it was before the fall). Pro-creation was given to mankind before the fall. So I do believe that His perfect original creation will be restored on the New Earth.

In heaven ... there is a 1,000 year time frame between the 1st and 2nd resurrections and that 1,000 years is spent in heaven ... a sort of interlude between the resurrections (no marriages and/or procreation in heaven going on - according to the Bible)

The way the Bible reads .. it seems to me that all the saved in heaven will get a "creational restart" on the New Earth with that including the institution of marriage (restored on the new earth-not in heaven) ... in other words previous earthly marriages will be null and void (in heaven) and people may choose their eternal husband/wife on the new earth and this union will be for eternity .... that is a "new beginning" and restoration of all things ... pro-creation without sin through one man and one women ... for eternity on the New Earth. I term this a "restart" ... because upon entry to heaven will have been cleansed of all our previous sins ... the tempter (satan) will have been destroyed so we will no longer be tempted into sin. The thinking is .... if Adam and Eve had never been tempted .... they would not have fallen ... God Himself does not tempt anyone ... temptation comes from the devil.

James 1:13
New King James Version
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.

Revelation 21:5

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.

Not a completely new planet:
While called "new," the understanding is that it will be the same planet Earth, but cleansed and transformed (of all sin) to reflect God's perfect design as He originally created before the fall. Since we are cleaned from all previous sin ... that includes any marriages that occurred sinfully. We get a completely "new slate" ... so to speak.

Basically ... we started in Eden in God's perfect creation (that included pro creation) and will be returned (restored) to that perfection and will dwell in His perfect creation for eternity with Him. It will be the same scenario as Eden (before the fall) but on a large scale without sin. That is ... the new beginning of humanity on earth will not be restarted/continued with just two humans but rather with multitudes of non sinful human beings.

I do believe marriage and pro creation will be on the new earth ... but the new earth is not restored/recreated until after God's final judgement .... after the 2nd resurrection (of the lost) destroyed by God Himself for eternity.

Just my 2 cents on some things I have pondered. ;o)

Here is a teaching that echoes some of that. Some during the millennium reign will have a natural body and thus have kids. The Millennial Reign of the Lord Jesus Christ — Bob Yandian Ministries

Haha, well, if he died in 1998, then he returned to Jesus, and not the other way.

Food for thought. As per scripture the Millennial Reign, the thousand years you mention, is spent on Earth with the Government administered by the Saints under direction from Yashuah.

there are different interpretations ... I know .... what I have studied out shows the 1,000 years are spent in heaven ... Jesus accomplished everything for salvation needed when He was here the 1st time .... no need for him to reign on current earth.

"It is finished" ... everything needed for salvation. Anyone has the opportunity to receive salvation now and until His return.

For Salvation, you are correct but Yehovah has a plan for all eternity and all is not recorded, as far as I can tell.

How would two spirits pull that off?

No one knows. We must not speculate this all. The OP's thread is somewhat pointless, cos we are never going to see heaven until we die. Though, no questions are bad.

Yeah. So people should try NOT to guess what heaven looks like outside of Revelation.

Why bother?
God is making it all.
I'm sure He will do an excellent job.
I have no clue, but I trust Him.
That works for me.

The millennial reign (1,000 years) is spent in heaven ... not on the earth. When Jesus returns all judgement for all time has taken place ... after the 1,000 years the 2nd resurrection happens (of the lost) it is then just a matter of when He executes His judgement that stands for eternity.

Paul tells us “the Lord Jesus [will be] revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels” (2 Thessalonians 1:7). And Peter says, “The heavens will disappear with a roar” and the earth will be burned up (2 Peter 3:10). No living thing on earth can survive this.

Once the angels gather the saved those left on earth are destroyed ... but that is not the full end .... 1,000 years later the lost are resurrected.

Nope ... there is great destruction when Jesus returns ...

Paul tells us “the Lord Jesus [will be] revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels” (2 Thessalonians 1:7). And Peter says, “The heavens will disappear with a roar” and the earth will be burned up (2 Peter 3:10).

You ad to the scripture and it becomes a human lie.

2 Thessalonians 1:7
We are at rest with the Lord when He returns .... because all the saved are taken to heaven and we are with Him. The earth is left in a desolate condition.

Revelation 20:1-3

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.
Isaiah 11:9

They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain,
For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord
As the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah 19:24

In that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth,
Isaiah 11:4

But with righteousness He will judge the poor,
And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth;
And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.
Romans 8:17

and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
Isaiah 11:6

And the wolf will dwell with the lamb,
And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,
And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little boy will lead them.
Isaiah 65:20

“No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days,
Or an old man who does not live out his days;
For the youth will die at the age of one hundred
And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred
Will be thought accursed.
