Without evolution there is no atheism, without atheism to some extent there is no evolution. The two are interdependent.

No Susan this is not true. You are doing exactly as the atheist with this conclusion that you have drawn. You are leaving God out.

Evolution does not control Faith in God.

Not for one moment do I wish I were an atheist... but it would make discussing the wrongful conclusions that evolution as drawn easier for me.

As it is... because I am a Christian, that objects to macroevolution, it is automatically assumed that my objection is not on a logical scientific basis but rather a spiritual one.

But the truth is I can not even get to the point of arguing evolution from a religious vantage because it falls apart long before.

Susan: Atheist are not inherently evil. They can be just as good and loving as any Christian you could name. The basic difference is they lack Faith. It is not our calling to ridicule them with hate. Please learn to LOVE. :)

An Atheist does not have God's love in them. Human love falls way short of God's love. Even if they were able to love as much as a Christian, they love family and friends. Christians are called to love their enemy.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Guess so....

Although it may seem strange why your "poll" was closed but this "poll" is being left open (despite repeated requests by its creator for the moderators to close it), perhaps there's a logical explanation, Bear....

Perhaps the moderator objected to your poll as flaming because it presented no viable option, while this "poll" might possibly present an option for a small minority of those being polled. Just as a poll that asks what is your favorite color--but only lists red, crimson, blood and scarlet as options--might be viewed as being a valid poll for persons whose favorite color is some shade of red.

Perhaps the moderator agreed with the "choices" offered in this poll but not with the "choices" offered in yours...

Who knows???

Stormy, where does it fall apart?  What are the problems?  I'd really like to hear about it.  I've looked long and hard and not found any arguments based "on a logical scientific basis" that are against evolution.  I'm not saying this to bait you or attack you, I'd like to hear what you have to say.

Not necessarily Susan. I am a believer. I don't deny the power and love of the Almighty God. And I can tell you as a biology teacher that I believe in evolution...absolutely...

What a great poll! Prax loves polls. :) Thanks Susan.

I voted for evil. It seemed the only logical choice under the circumstances. Still and all, I don't think that Biology is anywhere near as evil as Meteorology. Meteorology... *shaking head* Now that's evil!

Cheers,
Prax
