I rented this the other night, I didn't know anything about it at all. I like to not know what a movie is about, because I form opinions early about a movies.
But this movie, I wish I had read the box. I would have liked to been a little more prepared to watch this one, if at all.

This movie was a drama, of dramas, very very painful to watch this movie.It wasn't slow paced or anthing, its just the events that these people go through literally had me skirming in my seat at times. This movie is a dose of reality that is going to hit home for alot of people.

Naomi Watts performance was amazing. I think she is the next Merryl Streep.

It's an amazing movie.

I thought it portrayed with brutal honesty, the selfish nature of people even if they don't realize they're acting out of their own self-interest.

Definitely recommend it to everyone.

For Beneicio Del Toro's character's segment of the story, I especially recommend this to those who have embraced Christianity to fill a void or to compensate for regretful things they might have done in their life.

I just found out that Del Toro got best supporting actor nomination for that part.

This movie is rated R, with good reason, so keep that in mind too.

Del Toro's character was a newly born again christian. He wasn't very smart before that moment, and that level didn't change much after that moment. This should have been noticed on many of his scenes.
I feel that everyone comes to God, because there is a void in there life. Sometimes that void is made bigger from a guilty past.

I find the movie to be just okay. I prefer other similar themed movies (i.e. movies not played in chronological order) like Mulholland Dr., Lost Highway, and Memento.
