I promise you, there’s somebody with a fetish for everything. If we were to become morally outraged by everything that is treated as a fetish by somebody, we are just going to walk around angry all day at everything, and that would be a fetish for somebody.
I wouldn’t say I’m morally outraged by drag queens minding their own business, doing drag shows…it’s just not my cup of tea.

You’re definitely right though.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬-‭32‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
Amen to this. I remember hearing about this verse, and see exactly what is going on in the 2020s.

Would this work as a letter to the IOC?

Dear President and Members of the IOC,

I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, specifically the controversial performance that recreated the Last Supper with drag queens, a transgender model, and a naked singer portraying Dionysus. This mash-up of religious and mythological figures has understandably offended many Christians worldwide, as it appears to mock and trivialise one of the most sacred events in Christianity.

I would like to bring to your attention a few recent incidents that highlight the disparity in how religious expression is treated at the Olympics:
  1. João Chianca's surfboard: Brazilian surfer João Chianca was initially barred from competing in the Olympics because his surfboard bore an image of Christ. He was only allowed to participate after removing the image, which many saw as a violation of his religious freedom.
  2. Drag performance vs. religious symbols: While a raunchy drag show was permitted during the opening ceremony, Christian and Islamic religious symbols and expressions have been subject to censorship and restriction. This discrepancy sends a confusing message about the Olympics' commitment to religious freedom and inclusivity.
As a centrist, I believe in the importance of respecting all communities and their beliefs. I urge the IOC to consider the following compromise to address these concerns:
  1. Cultural sensitivity training: Organize training sessions for artists, performers, and organizers involved in future Olympic ceremonies to ensure they are sensitive to the diverse religious beliefs and cultural backgrounds of the global audience.
  2. Balanced representation: If the Olympics aims to celebrate diversity and inclusivity, it should strive to represent all communities equally. This includes ensuring that religious expressions, such as those of Christianity and Islam, are not only tolerated but also allows for Muslims to wear hijabs, and Christians to display religious symbols on equipment.
  3. Private expression: I appeal to the LGBTQ+ community to consider keeping some aspects of their private lives and celebrations private, just as straight couples do. This could help foster a more respectful and understanding dialogue between different communities.
I believe that by addressing these concerns and implementing the suggested compromises, the Olympics can truly become a celebration of global unity, diversity, and mutual respect without offending religious folks. I look forward to your positive response and action on this matter.

Yours sincerely,

- Alex B.

Not true. God deals with it.
Not that I've ever seen.

Also, using the end time as an example, the world will blaspheme God and there will be plenty of victims. Death to all who disagree will be the rule then.
There's that fetish.

The bible made it clear that judgment will come one day and that He will return and rule.
And again.

No man affects that because what will be will be. God bringing peace at last is anything bust a 'fetish', That is a butchery of the English language and meaning of words.
Admit it, dude. This really just does it for you, doesn't it.

God is love. So when He rules that will be exactly what it will be. The wicked will be gone from here forever. Banished. Not even remembered.
For God so loved the world, he drowned some and tortured others for eternity.

Nah.

His return to earth does it for believers of all ages. I can understand why some folks will not like it though
For God so loved the world, he drowned some and tortured others for eternity.
If Noah was not saved from the world, there would have been no salvation for mankind. The torture is being away from God and people who reject Him can't blame anyone else for their fetish or fate

I am afraid to tell them, cos I do not want my name or email known. Should I use a Protonmail account? Also, if any of you guys want to copy paste my message to the IOC, feel free.

? Let's protect children from evil so called art that is nothing but cloaked demonism. How about the art on the surfboarder's board that had Jesus on it, and was not allowed to participate unless it was changed?? This is not about art it is about God and Satan, good and evil.
Public religious messaging is fine, unless one is participating in events hosted by another party, which would rather there be no public religious messaging….what is so difficult to understand?

It is ancient, but it has gotten worse. Remember when the Roman civilization collapsed, or the collapse of the Greek civilization? Same thing is happening in the 21st century.
It took 400+ years for Rome to “collapse”

Amen to this. Now, someone who knows the ins-and-outs to communicating with the IOC can do this.
The 2034 Winter games will be held in Salt Lake City, you’re going to be fine if they do up a nice “Latter-Day-Saints” montage?

I will be outraged if an LDS montage happened, as LDS is not Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant. :) I would prefer if no montage happened at all, and the history of the city was talked about.

Yep, so we might see some collapse in the next few hundred years or less.
I’m well north of 60, if I see 20 more I’ll be “lucky”; after that, OBLIVION baby!

Well, maybe the OIC should just “limit” public displays of religion to what you agree with?

Whew, I am 24, so I will have to experience the brunt of climate change. At least there may not be any asteroids headed to the Earth that are large enough to pose a threat over the next century that we have discovered so far.

Maybe the IOC should just stick to how the opening ceremonies were before 2024. :) 1896 to 2022 went much better.

It’s touching that you did not wish to see Dionysus mocked like that.

I do not want to see any religion mocked. Pre-2016 times were much better, but not too far back, cos I am brown, and brown folks were mistreated in the US before the 1960s.

It’s not that either. What a weird thing to say.
Of course it is. It's a sexual fetish for so many of them. I've seen videos of the stuff they do. And in this case you've got a 3/4 naked man singing about getting naked and sex and then a bunch deag queens dancing around provocatively. It's pretty clear it's all about sex for them. A fetish.
