There is a thread on this topic... sort of. It was derailed however so i've restated it and couched it in different language. Do the games have occult significance?

The 2012 olympics specifically do seem to have some occult significance. Previous olympic games just havent been worthy of notice in this way. The olympic stadium is "crowned" with pyramids topped by eyes of horus (the lights). The pyramid/horus is a sign of the occult.
Any occult manual, freemasonic tome etc will have the all seeing eye and pyramid. They in fact point toward lucifer being the light bearer as Pike the founder of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry himself said.
The mascots too have this emblem which begs the question. These icons are the occult equivalent of the major iconography of Chritsianity and other faiths. To have them blazoned all over the games sends a message. Apparently the stadium is situated along leylines which are supposed to channel occult energy or something.
Advice would be to avoid the games for your own spiritual safety. This is coming from someone who scoffs at conspiracy videos too.
In 1935, the founder of the modern Olympics, Baron Pierre de Coubertin, noted: "The first essential characteristic of the modern Olympics is that, like the Olympics of ancient Greece, they constitute a religion."
The rituals, symbols, rites and ceremonies of the modern Games are testament to that connection.
This was taken from the BBC site. In greece before every modern olympics the olympic torch is lit by a mirror and the son. In fact the whole thing is conducted with all the pagan rites and trappings. The olympics are a pagan ceremony first and foremost. Naive christians today discount it as they discount the real meanings of easter and christmas etc, but were surrounded by the ancient occult wherever we turn. The greek gods are part of the ancient mystery reigions which form the most closely guarded occult mysteries. Even Paul referred to it in his epistles.

London is the sit of the Freemasonic HQ. Were the games held in DC the same things would apply. The planners have used occult iconography and one needs to ask why

What is the religion of the games? Is it simply a metaphor or are the games a connection to ancient mystery religions? Freemasonry in particular has an affinity with the Greek Gods many of whom have very different identities to the commonly held ones. Dont be so naive. If you have any escathoogical leanings at all you will look into the occult significance of olympic 2012

call me simplistic - the olympics is worldly - flesh praising flesh for fleshly endeavors - is it occult - some athletes actually get all new agey and "pray" to the gods of Olympia.

the entire thing has nothing to do with Christianity
....err why are we discussing this again?

How about baseball, football, basketball etc? Do you include little league and highschool baseball as "occult" activities as well? How about chess, checkers and verbal debates such as we have on these forums? :o
