Halleluyah and a happy new year to everyone who reads this thread...

2004 is never ever gonna come around again. Its a new "squeaky clean" year.An awesome year actually. What do you think about this new year? any great expectations ?

I feel 2005 is a year of the Spirit. Its a year when the move of God's Spirit will overwhelm our emotions, thoughts, reasoning, activities and so on.Its a year when we will proclaim the power of God in every nook and cranny of our immediate environment, and also be strengthened the more so as to overcome any of our frailties and shortcomings.
There is definately no doubt that the powers of darkness are doing all they can do to bring the body of Christ down. But the bible has put it clearly and it should be our confession this year in Revelations 12:11 "and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the words of their testimony and they loved not their lives even unto death."
We have too much power in us as "sons" of God to affect our generation.Lets desire and totally rely on the Holy Ghost this year, and we shall overcome everything that tends to stand in the way.
"For in all these things, we are more than conquerors" ... :amen:

Bless your hearts...

I hope you are right. The Lord began to speak to me and quicken me to think of and pray for and expect the Holy Spirt last summer. It was like I had never thought about Him before. I had ears to hear like never before.
I hope and pray there will be an outpouring upon us...His church this year.

On New Year's Day, my 2nd birthday as a Christian I dedicated the year to growth. I felt that in 2004 I had not grown as much spiritually as I could have if I had of just given everything over to God, so this year I just sat down and told God to take me, and to mould me into whatever He wants me to be.

I really want to use this year to serve God and to grow closer to Him, I have some plans on how to do it, but mainly I'm just trusting Him to give me the opportunities and hoping I won't be foolish enough to miss or ignore them.

Great post :)

For me I know there is a pending life-change for me. I know it is good but don't know what it is. Last year we moved from the city to a smaller town and God said that was the first part of a bigger change and the rest of it will come this year. In the meantime, I think god is teaching me just to be and let him. I have no idea what to expect or what i am to do here - I just know I am in the right town - kwim?

for those that had sown seed in 2004 this will be a year of harvesting.
For the rest this is a year of sowing to start with.

But whatever year it may be we must always set our eyes on our Lord Jesus Christ and set forth to follow him with all our lives. I believe that we should walk with God daily and follow him daily and not worry to much about the season of the year... you will figure that out afterwards :)
