  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's Cotton

Alrighty, it's coming up soon and I don't know what the heck to get her! We live in Chicago and the possibilities are limitless. Yet I have no idea.. So I'm asking you all to help me out with some idears.

She's 27
She's a Chef
She loves to Cook, Swim, and read interesting books. She also digs music.

I was going to say that's since she's a chef don't make her cook. Take her out to dinner. But selune is woman- hear her advice- and since the sheets could benefit you both! ( Who said that! I'm shocked. ) So maybe dinner and nice sheets.

Ah cotton- the fabric of our lives.

Sorry, I'm really punchy tonight.

Suprise her with a weekend getaway to somewhere you both have never been. My two year anniversary is coming up in July and I'm thinking about taking her off on a 3 day cruise or to a cabin somewhere in Minn. by a lake, that might just be the little romantic trip she has been dreaming of.

by all means, if she doesn't want to cook for the anniversary, don't ask her to ;) . The table cloth idea was to enjoy during the rest of the year if you guys go out for your special dinner. I was just trying to come up with something cotton. Maybe take her shopping for a brand new outfit (the only caveat being that it has to be made of cotton!) Let's see, new towels would be fun to help dry eachother off following a relaxing shower or bath together. Have fun with it, use your imagination once you've come up with the cotton item/s. Yeah, maybe multiple things--tablecloth for dinner, towels for relaxing shower, then sheets for a comfy cuddle... Ahh, I have to wait a year now, is there anything for 11th anniversary? :D Best wishes!

OK.. hears what I have so Far..
I talked to one of here mentors a Chef at the "W", downtown Chicago, he's hookin us up on a phatty dinner! With roses and all!

Then I got her a couple of tickets to see "Slava's "Snowshow". I'm not telling her a thing, actually I mentioned that we might go to Wendy's for a value meal. LOL.

Now the cotton.. I'm digging the Sheet's idea! I think it would be a nice end to the day. What do you all think?
