Can you guys share what you think this scritpure means?
Like what are the bounderies or extent of the definition of this scripture. Does it make sense what I am asking?......i dont think it sounds clear but I guess Im just trying to ask what this scripture truly means...mayb this should be in the Deeper Fellowship section but I dont know

Don't be partnered with them. As in don't marry them or start a business with them.

Don't marry or get very involved w/ unbelievers. You can be friends and hang out w/ them, but don't get too close to them.

It means that there is nothing in common between the light and the darkness. Therefore, don't get chained with them. If you become friends with those in the darkness, how will that get you closer to God? it won't and instead the ones in the darkness will only bring you down to sinful things which you should avoid. Sure, someone can say, "You can become friends with them so that you can witness" but you can witness to unbelievers without even befriending them. Marriage between the light and darkness will surely cause problems and disagreements and there will be more things that aren't glorifying to God than there are that do which would probably be rarely and that's not good. Last but not least, there is no fellowship so therefore, if you are in need of encouragement in your Christian walk and in need of discussing godly things and the Bible, how can you do that with an unbeliever?
