Today is such a bittersweet day for me. My "baby" is starting full-day Kindergarten in just a few hours.
It's funny: since I only have the 2, both of their 1st Days have been emotional...but THIS one is mixed with so much happiness I just can't believe it. She is very, very excited and can't wait, which DOES make it a little easier. She's already up, has come up to me and said, "TODAY is Kindergarten Day!!!" Her older sister (going into 2nd grade) is happily taking a step back and letting her baby sister have the spotlight.
I just needed to share my happiness, mixed with the sadness that I officially have no more babies...just Big Girls.
Also, I covet your prayers for them, as they are going into public school, with a brand new Principal. We had a wonderful working relationship with the old Principal, who not only didn't mind my older daughter's rampant Christianity (she taught her 1st grade class Psalm 23; and the Fruit of the Spirit to her K) but encouraged it. She has been praying all summer that the new Principal will at least be as tolerant.
