I'm glad that you found the show and are enjoying it. :) Yes, Josh (the oldest) is married to Anna, and they are expecting a baby girl this fall!

I'm glad I found it too. Thank you for the info on Josh and how exciting!

I wonder if he too wants as many children, better yet I wonder what his wife thinks of 18 children LOL

I'm sure he will follow his parents example as well as Anna comes from the same kind of family....so yeah...be expecting to see a lot!!

God definitely has to pick VERY special people to have such patience with so many children

Well when they found out what the baby was gonna be they went on the today show and said that he isn't looking to set any records and would be happy with 2 or 3 kids. So I don't think they plan on having a super huge family.

Really? How is it different? I was raised Pentacostal too, and we went by either/or titles.

oh well they are very different. There is basically no difference in the doctrine of the two organizations. Both believe in the baptism in Jesus Name and the infilling of the gift of the Holy Ghost, as evidenced by speaking in tongues. Although both used to believe and teach that women should not wear jewelry, pants, or makeup, many churches in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World have gotten away from that strict discipline, while the United Pentecostal Churches are holding on to that teaching. United Pentecostals are more traditional, wear hats in church and sing hymns while Pentecostals raise their hands and sing and dance, sing modern praise and worship with a band.

Ah ok... did not realize they were different. My old church was "United Pentacostal" and the church I attend now is more Pentacostal. Thank you for explaning the differences.

I love this show too! I just love how Michelle never raises her voice towards the children (I can only hope I will be half as great at this when I have children), and although I don't agree with all their values, I think they are a wonderful family.

P.S. The Duggars themselves aren't Baptist, they do a home church thing. When they visited their friends the Bates, they did go to a Baptist church and one of the kids said it was interestesting going to a Baptist Church, so it didn't sound like they were part of the Baptist affiliation themselves.

Yeah, 19 kids and counting! Wow!

I watched the episode last night where they were in DC- that's where I live. I was AMAZED at how well behaved the children were. The DC Metro system can be very tough to navigate alone and they went with a whole slew of kids... and didn't lose a single one :)
