  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Peter, Paul, and John didn't receive revelation?
Peter, Paul and John were messengers. They passed along information that was Spiritually inspired in advancing the Gospel of salvation by Grace through Faith.

And how do you view that as being different than Moses or Elijah?
Moses and Elijah provided prophecy in the OT. The prophecies involved people groups. We are in the NT, where the Messenger / Minster of God's Word is the Holy Spirit, pertaining to each individual who has been Spiritually birthed in Christ Jesus.

Once again we have purely semantical distinctions. Someone doesn't have to provide prophecy to be considered a prophet. There is no record of Abraham uttering one single prophecy in his life, and yet God considered him a prophet. Granted, God prophesied a lot of things about Abraham's descendants, but there is no Book of Abraham (outside of the LDS Standard Works) that Abraham published, or that includes a list of the prophecies that he made.
