INSTRUCTIVE COMPARISONS #11
In reference to: SUFFERING
Romans 8:16-18... “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17: and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. 18: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
1 Peter 4:12,13..... “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13: but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.”
It is difficult for me to think that there is a difference between what Paul said about “…if indeed we suffer with Him..” and what Peter meant by “..you partake of Christ’s sufferings…”
