11 Christians Jailed for Protesting Homosexuallity!!

I receive news from many Christian news outlets. I received this information from Repent America. There is a video of this hatred toward Christians available on thier webpage but I can't post it cause I'm a newbie here.

I am very upset by this. Homosexuals have the major news outlets on their side and that is why no one has seen this on the National news.
The homosexuals have been able to protest and celebrate their unnatural life style choice (that's right I said choice) in so many forms.
Even to the point of marching up and down the streets naked with little or no resistance from law enforcement.

I'm not upset with them....the only way they can propagate is by spreading the disease around through extreme exposure. You know, fostering children, adoption, total control of Hollywood. That kind of thing.

We are a bunch of lazy defeatists!

I hear every excuse under the sun why people don't take to the streets against homosexuality! Satan is a parasite that lives on our excuses my friends! He has no power other than what we give him in the way of deception. He is a defeated foe, pierced through the heart already! And as he dies slowly he does not go softly into that goodnight! He is evil till the end, stealing God's people, and hatefully taking them to share in his unsavory end.

We are called to be salt and light people.
Salt not only is there to add flavor but also to preserve!!!!!
Light is not there just to guide people to freedom from Satan's deceptions, but also to drive away the darkness!

I'm not going to give you all the scriptures in the Bible that tell us that homosexuality is wrong. It's been done and done and done.
I'll just through in one I've never seen anyone else use. It speaks out against transvestites and by default homosexuality.

Deuteronomy 22:5 - "A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD your God.

We are not to hate these people! We are to hate their sin and fight against it tooth and nail! Satan tricks people into thinking their sin is their identity.
But, it's just something we do because we like it. We say things like, "I know that God says not to ___________, but I can't help it, that's just the way that I am. He'll understand, he made me this way."

Remember what I said about excuses!!!
This is a lie and a deception from the master of such himself!
God calls us to overcome our weak flesh! And grow in the power of his spirit forsaking the treasures of this world that are only here a very short time for those that are eternal.

Is your Soul or consciousness made up of mostly flesh or mostly spirit?
When we stand before God in the light of his glory and holiness, that is when we will find out if we are mostly flesh or mostly spirit. All the impure things of the flesh will be burned away leaving only the things that are eternal and pure, gifts from God.

So, do not let your flesh control who you are (your soul). Whether your flesh is bent toward homosexuality, lust, drug abuse, hatred, or any of the other gifts of the sinful nature that man has received because of Adam's sin from the father of lies, follow the strange path....follow the spirit, God will show you treasures that will last forever.

We must not allow lies to go unchallenged!
The world will die one day because of this poison. But that does not mean that Christians are allowed to sit idly by and just let it happen. God called us to fight the powers and principalities of the air; we are called to be warriors! Stand up and fight!

The battlefield is over what we think and believe!

I agree…why hasn’t the mainstream press picked up on a story about the disruption of a street celebration by a group of fanatics?

And this group of fanatics chose to make a spectacle of themselves. They chose to chant slogans of hate. They chose to scream at people through a bullhorn. They chose to disrupt venders and people attending the celebration. They chose to disobey the orders of a police officer. This is the only choice I see here.

Apparently you don’t put much stock in “though shall not bare false witness.” Is this commandment optional in your opinion? Or is there some asterisk in the bible I wasn’t aware of saying that lying is bad unless your lying about gays and lesbian…then it is a good thing?

according to the organizers of the event there were no less than nine Christian groups attending Outfest...yet the group with the bullhorn is the only one that managed to get arrested. Maybe the other Christian groups just were to lazy to cause a disturbance big enough to get arrested.

A generation ago the same complaint could have been made about white people when they did not take to the streets against people of color.

Cross dressing has nothing to do with sexual orientation. I have a good friend who is a cross dresser….he is a flaming heterosexual.

While I do not know for certain I think you are trying to refer to the Canadian law regarding hate speech.

If so then it is one of the lies you advocate speaking out against….allow me to do so.



The law in question is Criminal Code of Canada(Sections 318 & 319) It covers hate speech and protects against hate propagandadirecting hatred against persons the basis of their color, race, religion, ethnic origin and/or sexual orientation. (Please note that heterosexuals are protected under this law just as homosexuals.)

Hate Propaganda" is defined by the Criminal Code of Canada(Section 318 & 319) as the expression of hatred against or the advocacy of genocide of an identifiable group: specifically people distinguished by their "color, race, religion, ethnic origin and/or sexual orientation.”

Individuals and organizations would be exempt form prosecution if: The hate speech was expressed during a private conversation.
If, "in good faith, he expressed or attempted to establish by argument an opinion on a religious subject." This would give clergypersons immunity from conviction for a hate-based sermon, for example.
If the statements were relevant to any subject of public interest, and if, on reasonable grounds, the person believed them to be true. This would give additional protection for the clergy.
If he/she described material that might generate feelings of hatred for an identifiable group "for the purpose of removal" of that hatred.





So as you can see even in Canada people can preach whatever they like so long as they are not calling for the murder of specific homosexuals advocating violence directed against homosexuals and/or advocating genocide.

If you are advocating these things then I can see how such a law would upset you so.

Wow, what a paranoid post. Some people see evil conspiracies everywhere, and I find it odd that these conspiracies are always out to get that person.

Unfortunatly the US government seems to be abusing laws, I assume out of fear of riots. Did you hear of the couple who was arrested for wearing anti Bush t-shirts to a Bush speech?

What I really dont get is why people have to stick thier heads into business that isnt thier own. You dont like homosexuals? Fine, dont talk to them, If I was gay and someone hated me because I was gay, Id rather not talk to them AT ALL than have them protest infront of my house.

Whats really funny is if you talk to some of these nut-jobs that go around protesting against gays. They had a bunch of them outside the local Pizza Hut protesting because the manager was an open lesbian (Does that show you how little there is to do in this town?) I talked to about 10 or 12 of them and of the people that I talked to, guess how many had ever sat down and talked with a lesbian or gay person about the very subject they were so mad about? One. One person out of roughly a dozen people had ever even taken the time to talk to someone else.

I watched the edited video at the website, and it's impossible to tell what's going on. It's looks bad for the police, but this is clearly only one side of the story. As a prosecutor myself, I prefer to get all the available evidence before making a determination. This Repent America group is little on the militant side, but not like a Fred Phelps kinda thing. I would be interested to know exactly what they were charged with and the the status of the cases. Nothing I could find talks about anything beyond a pending arraignment in Nov. 2004. If they plead not guilty and were headed to trial, or if the cases were dismissed, we'd hear about it. Kinda makes you wonder. Hmmmmmm?

Tcampen: The news reports that the charges were dropped for 6 of the 11, the 4 adults left pled not guilty and not much is known about the juveniles case.

It often seems like in protest situations the police arrest anyone who might insight a possible threat and then drop the charges once the arrest is challenged.


I was wondering, if christians were having a "conservative lifestyle" parade and a group of homosexual protestors were unfairly arrested, if they would speak out against their unfair treatment, or if they would say it served them right?
