I want to share something ,
I have a framed copy of Tubular Bells hanging upstairs , its a CD and a picture but it does look the part in a nice frame .......
I remember the very first Christmas on my own , I was 15 years old kicked out by my Dad , and my bed sitter friend cleared off and I just sat there with a bottle of Port some Irish Stew and yes a Copy of Tubular Bells going round and round on a record player I had just bought from a Landlord .... I think it was snowing , I cannot remember , but it was bitterly cold and no double glazing , it was a painful experience I can tell you , but compared to many , I was living like a King that day ....... Yes the record does hold many memories for me , it is a big part of my life , I have all Mikes work ....... nuff said
btw , and I still like Irish Stew and I still really enjoy a glass of Port

They'll never know everything their father did before they were born. But for today I've been saved and my life has turned a 180. I no longer look for my needs, I look for others. I'm here to serve and NOT be served..
cygnusx1 said:here is a wonderful pic , it is a place near Hereford on the border of Wales , it is called Hergest Ridge , and became famous through Mike Oldfield naming an album after it , and placing a picture of it on the album , he used this place as somewhere to get away from it all , he wrote Tubular Bells at age 16 , and recorded it in bits and pieces playing all the instruments , he then found it impossible to sell it to a record company , they were only looking for albums that would be a commercial success based upon milking the album for singals , but Mike's album TB , didn't have any singles it was all instrumental too , which made the record companies laugh with scorn , so somehow he took a copy of it to an unheared of small time buisness man , Richard Branson , ........ the rest is history , Branson now has Aeroplanes trains and even coke , and when interviewed Branson always says Tubular Bells made it all happen.

Dear Cygnus
Bless you for sharing this with others.May God's name be praised for His great love for you and for leading you out of that situation. It reminds me of the Israelites suffering under the Pharaoh's rule in Egypt and how they cried out to God for help and He delivered them from slavery.
There is nothing more beautiful than knowing that God loves us!
Bless you again, Cygnus.May your words encourage others as they journey on with The One who is worthy of our praise.
