10 Flaws with the Big Bang

I'm not saying that the Big Bang happened, nor am I saying that it didn't happen. I am just saying that it could not happen all by itself. Something, or rather I should say someone, was there to cause it to happen. Evolution has an extremely low probability of spontaneity, however, the Big Bang has a spontaneous probability of exactly zero. Evolution is put near, but not exactly zero, for spontaneity, because so much would go against the second law of thermodynamics, the law of entropy. Some other problems I have with spontaneous evolution are the existence sexual reproduction. Why is it that there has to be sex for there to be reproduction? Why don't organisms just form birth pods or magically replicate themselves? The other is the extreme complexity of the human brain.

The physical conditions of earth weren't adapted to human life, human life adapted to the physical conditions of earth.

The physical conditions of earth weren't adapted to human life, human life adapted to the physical conditions of earth.

But shouldn't we then expect to see life arise from and adapt to the physical conditions on other planets as well?

Possibly, however, we have a very limited frame of reference. There's only 9 planets in the solar system, and a few large moons. It takes a lot of time just to get a probe out to these planets, much less one that has the capability to examine the entire surface of the planet for signs of life. The technology just isn't there yet.

Well, we have another planet in this very solar system which is nearly the same size as the Earth so it's not that impossible. Also, "just the right distance" is much larger than most people give credit for. If not for other considerations, Venus and Mars would most likely be able to support life based on temperature issues. It is the atmosphere of Venus which makes it so extremly hot and it is the thinness on the atmosphere of Mars that makes it so cold. Granted, life which formed on planets this close or this far from their star would be different than what we find here, but they wouldn't be excluded from existing.

Ok first of all I would like to know how this got from the Big Bang to evolution.

I havne't looked through all ten pages to see exactly how it happened, but it doesn't suprise me, and I'd like to toss out a hypothesis.

I taught the astronomy lab at college for a while. I came to the conclusion that for many people (but not all), their distrust of evolution is reflected upon all of science. Whether you think this is reasonable or not, I found consistently that when people were extremely skeptical of scientific ideas, if I persued them long enough, many times evolution just appeared, as if out of nowhere. Just as it does in these threads.

I'm not suggesting there is anything wrong with being skeptical, I'm very skeptical of many things. I'm just pointing out, from personal experience, that many people's skepticism of one thing is not based on information they have about that thing - it is based on their skepticism of another. Dig deep enough and you come to the source.
