Only if the heaven is the earth. Heaven knows only one God, snce Satan and His angel were casted out. Spirits cannot be killed out commit adultry.

The ten comandments have always been to govern flesh and blood upon the earth.

The things on earth were patterns of the heavenly things (Hebrews). John saw the ark of the covenant in heaven, and the temple (Revelation). You can take that for what it's worth.

Sadly, it would be a waste of time. As ECR already pointed out, all of the commandments have a spiritual application which is eternal. Do I believe they were given to us in a way that was applicable for humans. Yes. But again, that doesn't take away from the spiritual application. The sabbath was given to us to Remember our Creator. That principle is eternal.

Stryder, you just moved the problem back one step.

How could creations honor their creator from eternity? Creations did not exist from eternity. Only the Creator is eternal.

However, you did just admit that the principle is regarding one's creator, and the sabbath itself is not eternal.

It also is something not to judge on according to Colossians.

We are not to judge on any point....

Thank you, your statement showed me how I failed to recite the text properly.

Col 2:16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you

In this case we are not instructed not to judge on it, but not to let others pass judgment on us in regards to it.

Good catch.

Well, the word judge causes a lot of confusion

it said judge not lest you be judged...

but it is also said not to judge by appearance but with sound judgment...

and the righteous judge all things...

So what is judgment?

IMHO every person has a judgment, which is also known by the word opinion...

it is very hard not to pass judgment whilst making an opinion...

Judgment is critical, as it helps us to determine what to do next. If I get invited by somebody who is known to be a heavy drinker to have a drink with him, I think I will pass on that one... thats judgment in a way... on the other hand if I meet somebody who displays a certain level of intelligence and has some sort of good reputation I might have this drink with him (or even her ;) )

Nevertheless we should judge with sound judgment, whatever that is...

This is why God broke it down and gave us two commandments, to try to keep it simple. I've not moved anything back. It's a truth from scripture that the sabbath was made for man, thus the sabbath day was not in existence until the creation of man. But the principle was always there. Spending time with God shows our love for Him. Obeying God shows our love for Him. Thus, so long as there has been a created being, there has been this principle.

but maybe it was made a long time before the creation already having man in mind? what do you think? What does Ellen say?

God is the very embodiment of His law. He gave it to His creation to keep order. It was given to us in a way that would help us understand what would be expected of us. It not being written down until a certain time does not take away from it's existence. So long as God exists, His rule on how to govern all of creation exists.
