She was a blessing! She lost her husband when my dad graduated from high school, so she went back to work to help put my dad through medical school at the University of Michigan.

I remember my mom, getting on the phone and calling the western union office in arizona, it was winter, and she called them, and said "there is a woman, (and described her) who needs firewood and groceries delivered to her... no "I don't" know where she lives or her name" ... but described the woman again, and then the house.... "I want groceries and wood delivered to her" I am sending 100 dollars" The woman said well the only person that could be is Judy..." 2 hours later, the western union office called my mother back, and told her that when they got there with the wood, and groceries, Judy was so cold because she was without heat for 3 days during the storm and had no food in the house.

I am always amazed at how a woman 700 miles away could pray, and my mother have it put on her heart....

I am gonna brag on my son James (God Rest his Soul), we have a "colorful" woman here in town, her mental health is often in question, she is by choice homeless or as she would tell you " I choose to live in the out of doors in the nature that God Created" James would always go into the stores and purchase whatever it was that Cathy needed. When he passed away, I saw her, and told her about James, and she said..." I think God allowed him to come home early because he hurt so much for others"
