If someone tries to convince you that believers never suffer illness or injury, you could punch that person in the nose and ask if it hurts. But that is probably too extreme a way to make a point.

It's also worth bearing in mind the way some people present an argument that suggests you have to choose between "God doesn't do healing any more" and "God always heals". I believe the truth lies in the middle, namely that God sometimes heals but is under no obligation to heal.

Some people like the idea that because there is no sickness in heaven there should be no sickness on earth. That idea falls flat because there is no sorrow, no pain, no tears and no death in heaven yet those things are very much in existence on earth. Death occurs on earth because God cursed Adam and Eve and allowed them to die. Yet of all those things, apparently on sickness must be banished.
