It doesn't account for *any* sedimentary rock. It's just a source for a think layer of debris in between regular layers.
Yes, layers put there during the Flood. The fossils are still found in sedimentary rock which tells us the cause of death is water and not fire. There shouldn't be any fossils in the impact zone. But there are.

I like how this whole thread is just the cat going "No, you're wrong" to everything and giving actually nothing substantive to support their claims.

Truly a case of arguing with a Biblical literalist.

So it doesn't matter to you to know that the highest concentrations of iridium in the world are all located in volcanic areas?
That is your claim. Please support your claim with evidence.

You understand that is a picture and not a photograph?

You understand that non one says a T-Rex came from a chicken?

You understand that many clades survived the KT extinction?

You understand that more organisms died out during the Permian extinction?

A global Flood would be recorded in all ancient antiquity if it was that important to remember.
Please show the records for a global flood in non Biblical sources.

Again showing the only way
creationists have to defeat
science is by making things up.

Make that a non- mythical source.

Those of us concerned with what is real
of course realize that evidence supporting
any particular theory is only good until
something disproves the theory.

Consistent stories ( which the divers flood
stories sre not) would be strong evudence
if they were consistent with facts on the ground-
with data primarily from geology but with all the
other " hard" sciences.

An actual event would be variously confirmed
by all, which of course its the opposite.

Not that you need me to mention any of that.

An actual event would be variously confirmed by all,

Including clean up?

... which of course its the opposite.

Did you ever spill milk on the floor, then leave some behind, in case your mother wanted evidence that you spilled milk on the floor?

I doubt you ever did that.

We just clean it up to the best of our ability and forget about it.

Mom: Why is only a half carton of milk left?
Estrid: Sorry, I spilled some of it.
Mom: Spilled it? or drank it?
Estrid: Spilled it.
Mom: Where?
Estrid: Right here, but I cleaned it up.
Mom: I don't see anything.
Estrid: I cleaned it up.
Mom: No evidence.
Estrid: I cleaned it up.

etc.

You want to dig a deeper hole for yourself?
A Google search for “Dinosaur fossils discovered at or near the Chicxulub crater” revealed absolutely nothing.
The closest it came was the discovery of a dinosaur fossil that may have been contemporary with the extinction event found at Tanis North Dakota which is nowhere near Chicxulub!!!

To give you the benefit of the doubt I then posed the question to Bing GPT-4 chatbot which also serves as a search engine.
This was Bing’s response;
Clicking on the first paragraph also reveals the fossils were found in North Dakota not Chicxulub.
You want to continue with the porkies of your nonsense being supported by Google?
Ragdoll

Oh, those dinosaurs are said to be from the Cretaceous period and found in sedimentary rock. Asteroid? Nope! The cause of death was water and sedimentary rock proves just that.
Sorry to rain on your parade but you seem be oblivious to the fact the vast percentage of fossils are found in sedimentary rocks as sedimentation and water provide the conditions for fossilization.
It should therefore come as no surprise that dinosaur fossils are relatively rare compared to marine fossils and dinosaur fossils does not prove all dinosaurs met their demise through drowning.

Call me a liar then. I refuse to support any of my claims because supported claims do not change how you feel about God. I have done all that in the past and not a single atheist changed his view. So no more supporting claims.

And there we have it! It's got nothing to do with science or logic, only religion. It's always about the supposed 'Biblical truths' that only the select form of Christianity that American Protestants think they have.

Buried in sediment is not proof of drowning.

Posting drivel, then blaming others
for not accepting, then playing victim
is very emotionally Immature.

So is making thjngs up ( not so different from lying )
as is labelling " arheist" all who dont accept your claim
that your version of " common sense" lets you know more
science than any scientist on esrth.

All such are quite disreputable and an insult to the
god, and noble faith you would defend.

Yes there are marine fossils at the peaks of all mountains in the world. Simple fact. They got there because of the global Flood.

Can you link the reports of marine fossils at the peak of (or frankly anywhere on) Mauna Loa, Mt. Hood, Fuji, Vesuvio, Kilimanjaro, Ben Nevis, or Mount Ararat?

Volcanoes give off iridium emissions which is why there is iridium on the earth.

No. There is iridium on Earth because there was iridium in the dust that formed the Earth 4.5 billion years ago. The concentration of iridium in the Sun is *higher* than on Earth (no volcanoes there). When the Earth coalesced from the pre-Solar cloud, the iridium preferentially attached chemically to the iron-rich parts and sunk to the center where most of the Earth's iron is located. As for the pre-Solar cloud, the iridium got in that from the rapid neutron capture process in a violent stellar explosion.

But it's okay for an atheist who knows more science than any theologian on earth to predict that physicists would eventually "know the mind of God"?

Stephen Hawking was the most influential know-it-all. In his 1988 mega-bestseller A Brief History of Time, Hawking predicted that physicists would soon find an “ultimate theory” that would explain how our cosmos came into being. He compared this achievement to knowing “the mind of God.” This statement was ironic. Hawking, an atheist, wanted science to eliminate the need for a divine creator.

All that and no time machine. Sorry but I reject gadget philosophy since there is no way possible to check the dates without the time machine.
Any one that insists on a time machine is immediately doing science fiction. Good luck with that. It seems you have little to no interest in actual science and have learnt nothing at all from the article I posted, even though it explained why carbon dating (an assumption you made) is not appropriate to measure the age of these particular fossils.

Maybe our creationists wuz there to
see creation so theys right to call for
flood- scoffers to have the same calibre of evidence.

I don't think Hawking was interested in nor worried about a divine creator.
Talking about "knowing the mind of god" is simply a literary technique called a metaphor, he was also engaged in Antropomorphism as his readers are human, it helps them connect better with ideas when you convey ideas in ways that humans can relate to. Humans have minds, so talking about getting into the mind of a person creating the universe, is relatable. It is all just fancy literary techniques and not to be taken literarily. LOL
