  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Life and Death

Life and death, till our last breath, We will keep marching on. Play our harps and sing our songs Of God for whom we long. Share His Word of Christian faith, Of Christ who died for sin. Sacrifice, our sins set free So we will live for Him. Walk with Him in fellowship, Feed daily on His Word...

    When I Was Walking

On April 6, 2011, fourteen years ago, the Lord Jesus gave me my very first song to write. And then on January 16, 2020, the Lord gave me the last of the 185 songs that he gave me to write for his purposes, and for his glory and praise. These songs were to be an encouragement to me and to the...

    Looking Through the Window

Now I am looking through the window In the corner of my room. I see people walking here and there Seemingly without a care. I wonder, “Do they truly know Him? Do they think of Him at all? Do they think of what He’s done for them? Have they given Him a call? “Do they wonder if He’s listening To...

    Not I, But Christ

Not I, but Christ By Ada A. Whiddington / A. B. Simpson … I no longer live, but Christ lives in me… (Galatians 2:20 NIV) Not I, but Christ be honored, loved, exalted, Not I, but Christ be seen, be known, be heard; Not I, but Christ in every look and action, Not I, but Christ in every thought...

What Sets Your Heart on Fire?

As fire is passion, as some would say, What sets your heart on fire today? What lights that fire of zeal within? What makes you happy, causes you to grin? What gets you up before the dawn, Drives you to go, e’en though you yawn? What do you do when time is free? What do you watch? What is your...

    The Grim Reaper

Dancing, dancing in the wind, Flickering, flickering, idols grim. Movies, movies, what’s in store? The grim reaper at your door. Trickery, trickery, that’s their way, So in hopes that you they’d sway. Horrid, horrid, all aghast! Messages, messages, out they blast! Pointless, pointless, all’s a...

    Pride and Prejudice

In flesh, we all are filled with pride. In flesh, the will of God denied. In flesh, we think more than we should Of whom we are and what is good. In flesh, we look at others grim When we compare them to us dim. In flesh, we fill our minds with lies When we our sinful hearts deny. In Spirit we...

    Living Sacrifices

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the...

    Listen! Listen!

Jesus died that we might die to sin and live to righteousness (See: 1 Pet. 2:24). He died that we might no longer live for ourselves, but for him who gave his life up for us (See: 2 Co. 5:15). And, he died that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according...

    He Disciplines for Our Good

Are you struggling against sin? Does a battle rage within? Have you forgotten ‘bout God? He helps us with His discipline. Be not weary when reproved. Discipline of God is love. We have need, need to endure. God is treating us as His. If not disciplined, we’re not His. God does for us what is...

    Laodicea

Have you ever tasted water that is lukewarm? I have, and I wanted to spit it out of my mouth. It tastes good hot, and it tastes good cold, but not lukewarm. Well, that is how God feels about his church who is living in spiritual adultery against him. They aren’t opposed to him, but they are...

    Old Cross, New Cross

The old cross is the cross On which our Savior died. He took our sins upon himself, And he was crucified. He died upon that cross To put our sins to death, That we might die with him to sin And live to righteousness. The new cross, not the same. On sin it puts no blame. It satisfies the flesh...

    Keep On

This is a song about faith in Jesus Christ and about keeping that faith strong, vibrant and ongoing. It begins with repentance and obedience to Jesus Christ and to his commands for our lives. It moves from there to our daily walks of fellowship in his love. We cannot have fellowship with God if...

    Just Are You

“And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb...

    Jesus, Rescue Me

Are you presently struggling with sin? What I mean is, not are you are being tempted, but are you giving in to the flesh thinking that sin or Satan has power over you and that you don't have the ability to say "NO!" to sin? In the book of Romans, chapter 7, Paul described for us the struggle...

    Jesus, My Savior

"So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us...

    Jesus, Lead Me

I have known the Lord Jesus Christ since I was a young child. I was convicted of my sin, and I wept in repentance as I called out to my Lord in prayer, accepting him as my Lord and Savior, believing in him to cleanse me of my sins and to make me a new person in Christ Jesus. I continued to get...

    Jerusalem

"But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men... See to it that you do...
