    A problem with substitutionary atonement

    I've been reading the Bible and stumbled on this verse. 1 Cor 15:17 If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Paul says the resurrection was necessary for salvation, yet a SA model would not need a resurrection. Thoughts?
