  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How do you represent Christianity to new age "spiritual" people (Yoga, meditation, etc)

I'm really shocked at how pervasive "spiritual" thinking is today. Even in many churches they have yoga classes. Now of course there are many degrees of yoga spirituality and hopefully they are doing just the movements. But it used to be that way with almost all yoga classes. Now it seems...

If an atheist asks you, "why are Christians right and Hinduists/Buddhists wrong"?

Hi guys, I'm looking for this sort of evangelical advice. Arguing against atheism isn't that difficult since there's no explanation the the creation of the initial singularity during Big Bang other than a supernatural power. But imagine such situation. Let's say the atheist agrees with you that...

Are there any Orthodox writings about Hinduism that you recommend?

In the Bible we can find major discussions on the gods of Egypt and Babylonia, but there does not seem to be much discussion on India. Certainly it was a far away place for them, although today there is a huge Oriental Orthodox population in south India. May I please ask if there are any...

(Almost) Answering the Problem of Evil

Or "How the Problem of Evil PROVES (Rather than Disproves) the Existence of a Benevolent, Personal God" Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then is he malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he...
