  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    The Book of Ecclesiastes

A great overview of the book of Eccliastes, and what it means. I recommend taking 7 minutes and watching it.

    God Gave Me 99 Lives

I'll never forget the day a strange new device came into my life. I had just woke up and heard my cousins laughing and chatting about something. "Jump" one of them said, "kill that guy. Don't fall in the pit". I could only wonder what they were talking about in the next room as I quickly got up...

    Ecclesiastes 3:11

For the longest time I have had trouble understanding the phrase in Ecclesiastes 3:11 "the world in their heart", or as other versions put it "eternity in their heart." As I thought about it last night this came to me: "the world (universe) is seemingly endless, and eternity has no end...

    Ecclesiastes - All is Vanity

All is vanity. Or the more direct translation - everything is chasing wind. You will one day die and everything you did will be quickly forgotten. The greatest men become mere ciphers and then nothing. All your dreams and ambitions and achievements are in the end a futile endeavour. The...
