  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

New Moral/Liturgical Problem in the Anglican Church of Canada

This development makes me extremely sad: CANADA: New gender blessings for trial use | VirtueOnline – The Voice for Global Orthodox Anglicanism As I see it, not only is this horrible liturgical theology, but also horrible moral theology, and represents a spectacular failure on the part of the...

*Catholics only* A long question about confession and canon law...

Okay, I have a somewhat complicated question that I need help addressing, last fall I had to have my confession heard by a rather liberal religious priest. When I confessed my sins to this priest, I tried to confess the number of times to sin mortally, but he told me not to say the number of...

Burial of Suicides in Consecrated Ground

Suicides used to be denied Christian burial, and often were buried in the land outside the bounds of the formal Churchyard. Particularly egregious examples were buried in more secular locales such as crossroads. The justification seems that to kill yourself, entails rejection of God's will...
