Yes, Jesus knew. It was prophecied in the OT, and Jesus knew all prophecies had to be fulfilled.

I don't think he'll be Jewish. Christ was Jewish and they didn't believe Him.But I do think he'll be of mid-eastern origin, but this is only my opinion.
