In what season of life are you in?

I believe I am in a season of change. I am discovering and setting the foundations for who I will be in Christ and in the world. It is scary. But hopefully it will be like Psalm 126:5 "Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy."

Checked out a new church today

I went to a new church on sunday. It was a baptist church. It was okay... somewhat big for my taste, but they do offer a lot of ways to get involved and to connect because they are bigger. I might check out their young adults group on thursday night. Haven't fully decided if I like the church...

    Thankful?

Great thought. I have just been thinking about thankfulness myself. Someone was just posting on another thread somewhere how he did a thankfulness challenge writing down a list of what he was thankful for until he hit 1000. I just started doing that myself because I want to see what it will...

    Happy New Year

Happy New Year guys :), I managed to stay up to watch the ball, just to realize that the news channel messed up the cameras and didn't even show the ball go down. Heading off to bed now. Hoping that this next year will be filled with joy and blessings for all of you (and me).

    Starting from scratch

Have you ever been in a situation where you could have / had to start from scratch? How did you decide what to do, where to go? What would you do different in retrospect? I am going to have to start from scratch, once again... I am only 22 so everybody keeps telling me that I have all the time...

    Good and bad habits

Hey faroukfarouk, thanks, I am trying :) Although I am already at under 10 again, now that things are a little "calmer". Yesterday I was at 6, not too bad. Anyhow, my biggest goal for the new year for now though is to find myself a new church that I can regularly go to and also drive myself to.

    Tiny houses, minimalism, etc.

I would be interested in looking into that. I tried to google it but only found a veterans project. Do you have any links or can you let me know the website?

    Tiny houses, minimalism, etc.

I agree. I would need a biiiig garden to offset the tiny house. I would love to grow all kinds of stuff. Has anyone ever heard of homesteading? I think that combined with a tiny or small house would be really awesome. But where? Do you know of any places that do allow them? Are there any...

    Morning work out

    Tiny houses, minimalism, etc.

I think you had the most heroic hamster that ever lived! He will go down in the books as one of a kind. I doubt my guinea pig would have done that for me... then again he was blind, so not sure if he would have even found the vacuum cleaner. But he was pretty happy with his cardboard box home...

    Ancestry

I would be interest. I have no clue. It should be curious. My mom is Austrian and my dad is from the US, but my grandmother on my fathers side has Native American and Irish in her ancestry. No idea about my grandpa's side. And on my mom side I have no clue what would come out. I am sure they...

    Ancestry

I would love to try taking a test. I did see that they are rather expensive though. Did you think it was worth the money?

    Morning work out

I hear you, I would like to do that, but I don't drive (although hopefully I will be able to soon) and my neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks, plus isn't a very nice place to go for a run. On top of that I would need both shoes and clothes for that, because it is cold here and I don't want to go...

So what do you do in a season of waiting?

Thanks :) One more (a little more practical) tip that I thought of is this: If you are anything like me, you may feel like you aren't accomplishing anything while you wait. What I try to do to combat that feeling is that every morning when I wake up and do my morning reading and prayers I try...

    Morning work out

I love how it has the timer on the side. This one is really nice. I might give it a try after work today. Thanks :)

    Morning work out

Your life sounds awesome! I would love to have chicken and a cow. I am not really looking to purchase anything right now... just because my housing situation isn't stable at the moment, but would love to have one of those indoor cycles at some point or something. I am just hoping for something...

    Tiny houses, minimalism, etc.

What you are saying reminds me of those shipping container homes. Since they are all about similar, I guess you could add them as you go and integrate them. I like that idea. There are lots of cool, beautiful once if you google storage container house. Here is an example:
