I echo the advice to cut contact. He doesn’t want to be friends and if you keep hanging around him, he will continue to cross boundaries. So, just go no contact with texting and block him on social media. Unfortunately, it’s the only way to deal with this situation. Good luck!

That is true but I think there are times when it’s a matter of safety. And the couple should pray before making any decisions if they are believers.

It's not ideal, but in cases of serial cheating, abuse, abandonment, etc...it may be necessary. Not ''good,'' but necessary. I think this is why divorce is so painful for most people who go through it.

God doesn't want us to carry guilt. Give that part to Jesus, and do the right thing. You didn't do anything with malice, but just notify who you need to, so you can feel better. I'll pray for your sense of peace in this situation.
