Will "few" or "many" be saved?

What of those living pre Jesus era or those involved dilligently in other faiths then or now?

    If I were God...

I see this as trivializing the concept of God. A loving god would want to multiply the essence of love. Ideas of 'perfection', 'glory', 'absolute truth', 'absolute' etc cannot express the essence of the ineffable God. We can only learn cosmically via faith, trust , humility and experience...

    Spanking for Jesus

I agree with you. Lots of secularists, atheists, whoever, attempt to denigrate Christianity by eclectic reasoning. When it comes to their negative Darwinism and Big Bang policies their reasonings tend to vapourize.

Is the Bible 100% scientifically correct?

Science deals with degrees of probability within a self limiting span. Scientific facts, albeit of great pragmatic value, can and do change, and are in no way infallible. Falsification criteria while applicable to the scientific method does not help us with issues transcending man made...

    Forget the Church Follow Jesus?

I'm not settled in to any specific Church presently and while I see blame as counter productive there is nothing wrong with eventually making an informed choice IMO. Over many decades there's been SDA,Uniting, Unity, Unitarian, Spiritualism et al and I am currently commuting between Roman...

The wages of sin is DEATH, not eternal torment in Hell.

I am not claiming a 'proof'. Jesus was critical of the Pharisees for their intense searching of scripture. Obsessions over texts lead to all manner of evolving cults and the ensuing 'rights' and 'wrongs' of hostile opposing factions......

    Bad, worse , worst!

I think that was Augustine's position; he saw people in error rather than choosing evil acts.

    Bad, worse , worst!

Blaise Pascal once opined that if one must do evil it is best to do the least bad of the options. This of course suggests a pretty open ended approach. What do others think?;)

What does the God of the creation think about homosexuality?

Yes! I don't think God is like instant coffee. We experience, assess, contemplate and pray. Perfection, if at all possible takes time.

The wages of sin is DEATH, not eternal torment in Hell.

Yes, I think some Christian reasoning goes along those lines. S.D.A., I think teaches soul sleep, based on an O.T. tract "the dead know nothing at all' but also speak of the second resurrection......not sure of any Hellfire then?? I imagine the wicked will be given every chance to come up to...

What does the God of the creation think about homosexuality?

I think you make a good point there re St Paul's haughty look referenced in one of his letters. There are a great many sins and becoming perfect like God is a mammoth task if we consider that Pride is seen as worst of the seven deadly ones. Can there (for us) be a reasonable compassion with...

    Is Saturday Sabbath Observance Essential?

:wave:You seem to have gone off on tangents. Anyhow my lowly rating sees me banned at this stage. Thanks anyway!

    Is Saturday Sabbath Observance Essential?

I have had some involvement with SDA over many decades. As for Sabbath worship I do not see this as essential and possibly not in keeping with Christ's seemingly essential message. Some have accused SDA of being latter day Galatians. This is simply a personal consideration. Many years ago...

If being gay was against natural

Don't know about that:confused: Some people may well opt for transgender, bi-sexual for example. Choice and chosen inclination is not clear cut. The whole issue can become very confusing.:blush1:

    Drunk in the Spirit?

I see that as maybe treading a fine line.....as within the charismatic movement. Not knocking charismatics or glorifying alcoholics, but as a generalization I find AA members concerned with acting pretty well irrespective of the Christian denomination they follow, if any.:)

    Drunk in the Spirit?

My first post here and the title grabbed my attention. This year I rejoined AA after a very long time and am finding a good deal of spirituality and humbleness in their approach to God or Higher Power, the term used in the 12 step program. I have been involved with a good many denominations...
