    Neil med Ruined my day!

I have had that issue in the past. Maybe the water was too warm or not warm enough. My ENT says that lukewarm is best. If the water is too warm, you can dry out your cavities even more. You may have an upper respiratory infection requiring antibiotics. Allergies can be such a pain.:groupray:

    Autism ADHD and ethnic diversity?

Interesting theory. I guess there are not too many studies trying to determine if certain ethnicities have higher rates of ASP/ADHD OR ADD. Could be looked into more. I have sickle cell trait, and at least one of my children have it. It is basically found in African Americans more than Europeans...

    The Blind leading the Blind?

I have suffered with panic and agoraphobia since I was 14, but in different intensities. My son, who is 19, has appeared to suffer with panic with physical pain as well. We have been trying to get him some help, but lately I have been having some relaspes myself and he has been leaning on me...

Social phobia, hypersensitive to criticism, etc.

So, if you think about it either decision is going to be somewhat painful. I had a relative whom people did not like because "she tries to be friends to everyone." Okay, what do we learn? you cannot please everyone all the time. I know we want to, but it's impossible. So, if you don't want the...

need help or advise of winning the heart and trust back from my wife.

I cannot believe how much these post here mirror what I experienced with my own husband. It's amazing how we don't miss our good thing until it's almost gone. Please don't be a Bugaboo. Give her space. She is trying digest it all. Remember, it was your own selfishness that caused this mess. I...

Is it normal to want to die during marriage problems?

I am so sorry to hear about the pain you are going through. It seems that some of us have been loved so little in the beginning of life that when storms come later on we don't have the strength to stand up. I suggest that you start building your self esteem up in Christ. I know what if feels to...

Problems with 19 year old son

My husband and I are at our wits' end with our 19 year old son. We have spent the last several years and countless dollars trying to get him help. He is medicated for ADHD and also has issues with anxiety. We have been compassionate with him as much as possible, but he will not work with us. He...

Do people think that you are in your 30's?....

I think that people expect the mid 30's to 40's to look old and beaten down. I get compliments and second glances all the time although I don't try to dress or act provocatively. I hate it when people start acting as if we are all "too old" now to enjoy life. I find it's usually others in my age...

    40....too late to start again?

I don't think any of us are ready for the boneyard yet. We have way too much to offer. And by the looks of some of the 20 year olds out there...all they seem to have is youth. They are careless and selfish. I wouldn't trade what I thought I knew then for the wisdom I have now.

    Avoiding

hi M. sometimes people just don't understand. How can they when they are "normal." Although i am not bipolar, I have had several issues in the area of mental health, and my heart goes out to you. My mother couldn't understand, and being a person of color just made it more difficult for me. The...

son caught having inappropriate content problem

First of all, I would like to say that it is wonderful that your son came clean to you. Please take the necessary precautions to protect your son and the rest of your family from this. I don't care what people say. inappropriate content is a demon. It almost destroyed my whole family. It started with my husband...

    Loved Ones and Anxiety

The reason so many people may view others overwhelmed by fear is because they realize that everyone has been afraid from time to time. But, the fear that most people have comes and goes without paralyzing them. They are able to move past it. But, the fear experienced by the phobic person...

    Agoraphobia And Church

Thanks for all the replies, Everyone. I was a bit confused by the "going when no one is there" part, but now I get it. :):) I never considered going to a church when no one was there, just me. However, churches here lock their doors when no one is in attendance. I think they fear vandals. I have...

    Loved Ones and Anxiety

I was just wondering after reading a few posts here about one thing: How does everyone's family/friends react to their anxiety issues? Have you told them? I told my mother last week and one of my sisters, but now I am afraid they are giving me the "crazy" person or "weak" person treatment. My...

Facing fear: What is your goal for today?

Thanks Melissa for this thread. :amen: It is so encouraging. My goal for today is to enjoy my family without letting fear of all MY issues rob me of the joy of having them. Last couple of days, I have been feeling sorry for me, and acting selfish and grouchy towards them. :groupray:
