The founder of Satanism wrote in his founding book that he was inspired by Ayn Rand's philosophy. That is a simple fact. Like other's have said, I can find MUCH better role models than her. I just don't understand the tea party fascination with her in the least.

Thanks, I appreciate your opinion. I tend to agree. It boggles my mind how Republicans as a party known for "conservative Christian values" could have ever latched onto her philosophy and purported it as something desirable or good.

Anyways back to the point...now that we have fleshed out a bit of what Ayn Rand's philosophy is and how they are antithetical to the basic tenants of Christianity, are her teachings good for the nation or not? Present your justification.
