    How do you handle it?

I haven't been to this site in a really, REALLY long time. My husband and I have stuck it out. It's been hard, and I have to work very hard to love him every day. We are surviving, though. His faith has grown some, and that is very good. He now gets to where he will get really on fire for...

    How do you handle it?

I guess after so long, I've just kind of given up hope. He knows that Jesus gave His life for us. He knows God. He just chooses not to have a relationship with Him. He used to be a very strong Christian, but this was many years before we ever met. He kind of fell back on what he knew from...

    How do you handle it?

I am having a hard time living with someone who rejects God. He pretended to be a Christian to get me to marry him. Now I am trapped in this marriage to an unbeliever. How do you live like this? Sorry I can't type more, I have a sleeping baby on me.

Why isn't cow's milk good for babies

I think it really depends on the individual child. I don't use the milk that you see on the store shelves myself. We only use milk that we know is from cows that do not use hormones or other toxic things. My little ones could not tollerate breat milk or any formula we tried. All three of them...

Parents: Please Read (About Your Kids in Public)

I find it interesting that a lot of people think misbehaving kids must be from a single parent. Whether you have to bring your kids with you somewhere or not, and whether you are single or not, there's still no exuse for bad behavior in public. I used to take all three of mine to work, at a...

    Review thread for kids' media.

I have been purchasing the Full House television series on DVD. I loved it as a kid, and my daughters watch it constantly. Good family entertainment.

    Distractions

I hope and pray that faithgoeson got moved okay. I'm wondering if she has internet service out in the boondocks where she said she was moving? I'm okay. I got everything moved and unpacked now, for the most part. We had a major ice storm here that, classified as a disaster needing military...

    Moving

We are moved and in our new place now. I finally got the internet going as well. While unloading the UHaul, the heaviest part of my treadmill fell on my leg and chipped some of the bone off of my leg and ankle. I have a purple bruise from my knee down to my foot. Even with the injury, I...

    Five Hours?

Since the baby is on a schedule, it probably cried all the time when it was first born. Now, it's probably just used to starving. It gulps its' food down when the parents "allow" it to eat. That's the saddest thing I've ever read. When my little one was having trouble eating and gaining...

is it feasible to stay at home?

I was widowed very young, and we certainly weren't prepared for that. If not for public insurance programs, my children would still see a doctor if they needed to. God always provides a way. No one should ever be made to feel bad because they need help that is there. I don't always have a...

    Five Hours?

If the baby is malnourished, it may not have the energy to cry out. It could very well sleep until it has no energy to breathe. I would take it seriously if I believed the baby were in harm's way. If the parents won't listen, I'd be making a phone call. Did the baby's eyes look sunken in...

    Review thread for kids' media.

How To Eat Fried Worms I loved the book as a child, and the movie is even better. My little girls were glued to the television. Being homeschooled, they had no idea some children actually bully eachother like that. Man, are they thankful for being home with me now! Anyway, the movie...

is it feasible to stay at home?

I believe there's always a way to stay home with your children. If your income is lower, you will most likely qualify for your state's health program for the children at the very least. The best thing to achieve the goal of staying home is to get out of debt. Pay off credit cards, consolidate...

Your opinion on a 7 year old having a go-cart, dirtbike, etc.

I kind of agree with you, mostly because I know a woman who lost her 9 yr. old daughter underneath a child's 4wheeler. She was being supervised, and she had padding and a helmet. She had been driving since she was 4, so was capable at 9. Her parents were riding their own. She flipped the machine...

Your opinion on a 7 year old having a go-cart, dirtbike, etc.

lol I thought I was the only mom who worries over that sort of thing. I'd never buy my kids anything with a motor, they'll be lucky if they can drive when they are 30.

Your opinion on a 7 year old having a go-cart, dirtbike, etc.

If you do consider this, I would highly suggest getting something that cannot crush him if it lands on top of him, and also something as low to the ground as possible. Children cannot withstand the weight of alot of these machines.

    Moving

I'd appreciate covering in prayer by all. I am moving, hopefully, this week, to the middle of nowhere! I love the country, so this is not unusual for me. It's a great big farm house on 10 acres of land. I don't know what I'll do w/ all the land, but it's mine. :D We'll still be by a lake...
