  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

That had to be one of the dumbest assertions I've ever seen. Is it a foundational belief of your sect? Well, you've provided ample evidence of that, I see. This comes from some kind of personal revelation you've been given, does it? Amazingly enough, I was about to say much the same thing...

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

Figuring out what the SCripture really means as opposed to what is just says, right? <Laugh> But you bravely ignore it and follow whatever stuff it is that your group believes. IE, what the Scripture says as opposed to what your lot has decided they really means. In other words you believe...

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

Yeah, God can't really destroy body and soul in hell. Totally impossible. "Ye shall not surely die", right?

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

That God so loved the world that He's going to have the best majority of those He creates subjected to inhuman torture... forever. Hmmm... That the universe was created by a merciless and sadistic deity? Yeah, all you gots to do is change the language to for your doctrine, and Bob's your...

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

The "truth of the Gospel" being the idea that God created most people with the sole purpose of yotyuig them forever, right? Gotta give them future firewood a wide berth, yessirree. You maybe have to square Him away on that "Father forgive them" stuff, though. That's right out, isn't it?

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

Cause ain't nobody tortures like God does. They probably just don't realize how keen on torturing folks God really is. They have a personal worm who has eternal life as well? Just like Scripture says, God's malice endures forever and ever.

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

I'm sorry, but did you actually read those defs? <Laugh> You still have" No True Scotsman" and "Yo mama" to fall back on. Are you sure the word actually means anything at all? Kind of like "cabbage". Several meanings, there. It can mean money, it can mean a noxious weed (skunk cabbage), it...

Is Hell Annihilationism or Eternal Torment

That was all out of context and strawmen and "meaning" can be defined in many different ways than the way you choose to use it and no true Scotsman would agree with your hermeneutics. (Just following Proverbs 26:5 here, <ROFL>)

    The Great Judgment is coming

Rendering it essentialy meaningless to us. Will our Lord return? Yes When will He return? When it is His good pleasure. Will anyone know when He's coming? He says we won't: Matthew 24 36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as...

Kirk Cameron Takes Heat for His Annihilationist View on Hell

Assuring us that God is just lying in wait for an opportunity to send us to eternal torture. Right. The wages of sin is death. But apparently that isn't nasty enough to suit some folks. Which eternal life? The on in Heaven or the one in hell? Yep, it's very clear. The Wages of Sin is...

Kirk Cameron Takes Heat for His Annihilationist View on Hell

Is this you declaring a victory, or just asking me to go away? Abd FWIW, you can tell when I'm posting on a telephone because my spelling worsens by orders of magnitude. <Laugh> The quotes provide context for my replies, to avoid the standard "you took me out of context!" dodge. If I...

Kirk Cameron Takes Heat for His Annihilationist View on Hell

I have a life away from the keyboard. Neither does your doctrine, except a version of "Scripture" that's a product of wholesale redefinition of words and ijtetion misunderstanding of what's actually written. It's rubbish. Yep. That's why the wages of sin is death. If you don't mind casting...

Kirk Cameron Takes Heat for His Annihilationist View on Hell

I.E., what it actually says, And with a liberal redefinition of what the Bible actually says to assure that it doesn't do any damage to your doctrine. You know, the Jehovah's Witnsses went so far as to coe up with their own "translation" of the Bible that didn't poke any holes in their Arian...

THese folks Tht are so keen to see temporal sins receive eternal punishmen, and a grisly inhuman punishment at that. Tyat doesn't soound much like anything our Lord Christ ever said.

Kirk Cameron Takes Heat for His Annihilationist View on Hell

Oh, your position is understandable enough, it's just ridiculously wrong. The fire and worms are the means by which dead bodies are destroyed in Gehenna/Hell. They'll always be there waiting They're symbolic of death, not sinners with eternal life being Your ideas are typical of the sort of...

Kirk Cameron Takes Heat for His Annihilationist View on Hell

Oh, of course. Imagine thinking the Bible actually means what it says. What a silly concept! Well, at least for those with a doctrinal ax to grind that the plain meaning of the Scripture just doesn't support. Then you have to resort to the "what that really means is _________". technique...

Kirk Cameron Takes Heat for His Annihilationist View on Hell

A little verbal chicanery there again. You say "eternal judgement" to mean "eternal torture", which is what your lot actually teach. Actual death is just as eternal, and it doesn't requite changing any word definintions, or turing God into a pitiless fiend. Funny, that's precisely my opinion...

Kirk Cameron Takes Heat for His Annihilationist View on Hell

Pass. In other words, some bloke tells you what he thinks. Pass. If you're willing to simply wiling to change the meaning of words en masse to make them fit your beliefs. Still rubbish. If not, then hell is simply a matter of roasting dead bodies, innit? Except then have to be alive to be...

Kirk Cameron Takes Heat for His Annihilationist View on Hell

Right. Stuff in the Bible that runs contrary with your doctrine must Really Mean Something Else. So death can;t really mean death, because your doctrine depends on everyone living forever. (Nemmind that the Bible says no such thing,) Because it has to you because your doctrine gives everyone...
