I have not gotten to that yet... there is a stump...but it is not Israel...but there is stump and of it comes Jesse's...but not Israel.... so that metaphor was not used... And Jesus did not say Temple/Israel will be judged..........

Where does it say that G-d cut down Israel into a stump? How about Isaiah 10:33-34...which are the last two verses of chapter 10...what happens after 10? Chapter 11...and there shall be... or how about end of Isaiah 6? or how about the beginning of Ez. 17?

If Anointed One is the Branch of God, then after God's judgment cut down Israel to a stump...the shoot of Jesse...those who become His disciples come from the Branch...those who reject the Branch are torn off the Branch. It is very easy picture. It is written in Ez. 17..."Adonai ELOHIM...

Just because something is a parable (in Hebrew: mashal) does not mean it is not literal....mashals were meant to teach, instruct, and make known to the common people difficult bible wisdom, actions, and knowledge. My interpretation is that these passages teaching instructs us the literal...

There was been other times too...for instance, during first century it was regular to give a tribute to Domitian as a god and receive a mark that told everyone you have done this in order to buy or sell. Also, it is interesting that the place of the mark in Rev. is also the places on the body...
