  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    $139 billion dollar aircraft carrier

I read recently that our most modern aircraft carrier is in for repairs for a year and a half because of a fire in the laundry room. I would think that rather than a single $139 billion dollar aircraft carrier, it would have been better to have 139 $1 billion dollar aircraft carriers.

    What is truth?

Joh 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. Pilate's rather blasé inquiry showed a sort f world weary disregard for philosophical musings. What he failed to perceive was that the...

    Foot Washing

Some denominations practice ceremonial foot washing. An observation I made in a visit to a Greek Island in the 1960s was that the transport of goods was all done by donkey. Especially when one wears sandals, one becomes acutely aware of donkey manure. Combined with infrequent rainfall, this can...

    What is Dispensationalism?

A recent attempt to insult Dispensational views (Dispy dipsticks) has led me to see a need to clarify dispensational views. As with any brand of doctrine there will be variety and some of these will also be described. Essentially dispensationalism sees a future role for a restored remnant of...

Dispensationalism usually consists of people who see a distinction between Israel and the church. Some feel this distinction happened at Acts 2, others at mid Acts, and some at Acts 28.
