  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Twenty years of two and a half degrees of warming

Goosy Loosy. Yes bad things happen. We don't live in utopia. We've had a Cambrian extinction, a Devonian one, a Silurian one, a Permian one. Species come & go. You're lucky we are not in the Hadean or Archean Eras. Look I know how the carbon cycle works. You can explain the mechanism all you...

What if racism is an evolutionary response?

No it's subjective. I watched a podcast given by a shrink & they said it cannot even be considered mental defect. It's molded by the environment.

Global Vaccination on Human Guinea Pigs

Yes as I recall both Jenner & Pasteur once they confirmed their findings they administered them fairly quickly to local victims of the disease.

Twenty years of two and a half degrees of warming

If every Monday I walk outside with blue shoes & happen to notice that for 4 weeks in a row, it rained on those Mondays, I cannot equate causation with correlation & that is the problem you guys are having.

Twenty years of two and a half degrees of warming

O henny penny the sky is falling, we must tell the king. The earth has put up different periods of climate & sorry guys the co2 is not going to roast your marshmallows.

Twenty years of two and a half degrees of warming

I don't join sides such as climate denier or anti-vaccer. I just simply have not been impressed by the literature to think a gas that occupies 0.038% of the atmosphere has such a warming effect. It is clearly wrong when any textbook or module or podcast would open up chapter 1 in earth science &...

Twenty years of two and a half degrees of warming

If you don't believe that people in science can't go corrupt then you don't understand the nature of human beings. I'll give one example. Almost 2 decades ago Merck came out with a drug called Vioxx & raved about it. As it turned out a lot of people got hurt by that drug & it was yanked from the...

    Pronouncing Uranus

Doesn't matter, in some of the sciences a large part of nomenclature was to accent the "pre-penultimate." E.g. nomenclature in American English you would assume accent the 1st syllable. The alternative pronunciation is accent the 2nd syllabe: no-MEN-cla-ture. Another example is the Himalayas...

Twenty years of two and a half degrees of warming

Follow the money trail always works in science. I've told you before CO2 absorbs IR rays in a very narrow range of wavelengths: around 1460, 1960, 2010, 2060 nm. It can do this b/c it is a vibrational/rotational molecule. However, the Sun does not emit strict IR. The Sun emits mostly in the...

I know how the greenhouse effect works Bud. And I have plenty of science, you are exercising a prejudgment that I don't know a thing. Even in the science world there is disagreement. Remember the case of Hoyle vs the Big Bang. We just don't have a runaway greenhouse effect. You'd like to think...

Would the Rev. Al Sharpton make a better president than Trump?

This is true there are very few in the center; we had one in our state a good 20 years ago.

    Who Doesn't Go To Hell?

The absolute most supernatural thing that in my Father's House there are many mansions. Has to be.

    Who Doesn't Go To Hell?

No albeit there are others who probably do execute this practice.

    Who Doesn't Go To Hell?

Lots of scripture was embellished or established by schools of thought. Destiny is realm of God so I don't claim i have the absolute answer. We may all have an opinion, but we are divine providence.

    Who Doesn't Go To Hell?

Makes sense to me. Also seems to be in compliane with Paul's Letter to the Romans on the blindness of the Jews. It's all deliberate under the Creator. So Paul's projection is right.

    Who Doesn't Go To Hell?

This is precisley the point-the billions. We are up to 8 billion people on the planet & albeit the holidays make it seem the whole world embraces Christianity, it doesn't. Or maybe it embraces it in a different avenue. If only 1 of the 8 billion have accepted Christ, that's not a very high rate...

    Who Doesn't Go To Hell?

About the Roman Centurion, in the Orthodox tradition, this man soon recognized the Messiah so in the tradition he is the 1st person at the gate of heaven. In all frankness, it is the Creator who assigns our fate, not our thinking cap. The Catholic Catechism on Judas Iscariot-it's known to God...

Time...? Sound waves, and light waves...?

You are correct. At speeds near light speed, time dilates, length contracts, mass bulges.

    Pronouncing Uranus

Actually you're correct-that is the Latin way & the way used by those in the astronomy field.

Would the Rev. Al Sharpton make a better president than Trump?

Not a one issue voter. You prejudge. Why not just ask. I care about maintaining the Constitution & the economy which means jobs & a high standard of living. I can do little about fraudulent elections. The lust for power is so great in many human beings. I do believe police training needs...
