Proof of the link between Iraq and Bin Laden is coming this weekend at 9:00pm on FOX News. The reporter, Eric Shawn, was on Bill O'Reilly a few minutes ago.

From what I gather here is the low down. The U.N. funded Saddam via the oil for food scam. It was bogus through and through. Details to follow Sunday.
Saddam siphoned off $15 BILLION (not million) for his own use and as soon as he started, then the funding for Bin Laden vastly increased.

There are other evidences of a cover up involving Cofi Annan's son and Saddam's ability to handpick the contractors!

If this story is so important then why is Fox waiting to air it? My guess is that it's going to be nothing more than wild speculation based upon loose evidence.

Maybe, just maybe they're finishing a thorough investigation to make sure they have all the facts, unlike *cough*CBS*cough* a certain other news agency. M

If they are running comercials for it then the show is already taped. They would already have finished their investigation before taping.

A show is supposed to provide greater detail than an article? Isn't it normally the other way around?

To say that the show will reach a wider audience is a truer statement.

I will read the article later. It's past my bedtime. I did notice that the headline reads "possible", but the OP reads "proof". I did skim the article and it look like "6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon". I'll give my analysis of it later, most likely Sunday (Kermit has lots of stuff to do tomorrow).

And Fox claims that Michael Moore tries to paint a picture of guilt when there is none. At least Michael Moore admits that his work is commentary. That article has more unsubstantiated innuendo than Moores complete work and it is only one news article.

Everytime 'proof' pops up about a link I ask the question; 'If this link was so obvious and such a threat to the US as people claim, why did not one of the Bush team notice it or even present it as a possible link to the UN so that they would have got a second resolution through, there would be no doubt that the was was legal, gained international support for the war and reconstruction?'
I have still not got a decent answer yet....
Plus if there was such an obvious link don't you think that the administration, which has higher access levels to information than Fox news, would bring it out? Hey they could even make themselves look resonable before november.

I note that this 'report' disagrees completely with the reports of the intel agencies in Iraq. But let me point out a couple of salient facts.

a: Hussein's state was a Secular one.

b: Hussein was radically opposed to Wahhabi Islam, both he & Bin Laden despised one another.
