Perfect?

what is a perfect life? different people have different perspective.. wealth? respect? education? status? but we know, from the bible, that God is perfect, and the word "perfect", in God's eye is not what we think it is in the world's eye.

and Jesus is perfect, because He is God, and He is different from us in that He has never sinned.

"Perfect" means more than just being sinless, but it also implies maturity and completion, and to do this, we have to follow God's two greatest commands, love God, and love your neighbour. To live a perfect life is not easy, it is hard, often painful, but the result is well worth it, and the life you live is fuller than anything.

i suggest you read the gospel books again, and read James while you're at it. Pick out the things that Jesus did, and think on why He did them.

How can people be perfect if they don't have a perfect life... Well for one thing, the only one that is perfect is our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm afraid no one else is. I agree with Blessed One. Go back and read God's word again, especially the New Testiment. Believe it or not, Jesus did have a perfect life. He knew that he was going to die, and let it happen. He knew that people were going to make fun of him, he let it happen. I hope this helps you in your walk with Christ.

Having a perfect life has nothing to do with being perfect. A perfect life is when everyone loves you and everything goes your way all the time. Being perfect isn't. You can be perfect and have people spit at you and call you names. You are perfect because you do not let your anger lead you to evil. Jesus did not spit back, he did not say foul things back..he forgave them, he loved everyone. Just because he was perfect does not mean his life was to be perfect.

Yup theres a differece in being perfect in the eyes of god and the eyes of man

Jesus based his life on his relationship with his father. He wasn't concerned with Earth's concept of the perfect life.

That is a wonderful question! Jesus WAS perfect, but led NO perfect life. This is because he responded to everything that happened perfectly, as we could never do. Those who spat on him, he forgave. Those who killed him, he also forgave them and did not hate them. He showed only kindness, no matter what was done to him. He helped the sick and blind. Sure he was scared, right before he was crucified he kept praying to God. But being perfect isnt being brave...it is following God in absolutely everything you do. Not one of us can be perfect, its too hard (The bible says "Not one is righteous, not no one" or something similar) but Jesus...he was perfect Thats why we should strive to be like him!
