This is one of the most interesting cases I’ve watch unfold since the OJ Simpson case from 10 years ago. I wanted to get everyone opinion about it, as I’m sure there are a lot of thoughts in both directions.

Anyone interested in really staying on top of the case can also watch Court TV who’ll be doing a series of live interviews July 12-15 at 11pm with people related to the case, including that mysterious Juror #5.

wow, kill him already??? that is real Christian like; just like they did to Jesus, no trial, just death. The guilty until you prove your innocent in our court systems is not how it works. I saw a signature on a thread recently that said "When Jesus said love your enemies I don't think he meant for you to kill them."

 Granny, that guy is an "atheist" - that little brain man symbol by his name.

Regarding Peterson, I have a gut feeling he did kill his wife and baby, but I believe he will get off because the proscecution has a weak case against him.

Gut feelings are not admissible as evidence though, and for a very good reason.

P.S. What's this all about? I don't follow sensationalist news.

I did not see that the guy was athiest until I had posted. I forget those kinds of folks do not live in reality!

As far as Peterson, I do not know if he is guilty or innocent, both sides do have some strong points, however, I do feel that if he is found guilty of murder of an unborn child our government should really look hard at the abortion laws. The law claims that an unborn child is a fetus and not a human life. WHAT! Now, these same law makers are charging a man with murder of an unborn child. I just don't get it. Sounds like double standards here. I think they are like the IRS, they make up their rules as they go.

That has crossed my mind a lot regarding this case also. Maybe the mother has the right to kill her own unborn child but the father doesn't? I hope Sanger doesn't get his way. He wants to allow a baby to be terminated up until it is 30 days old. (outside the womb)

Which was the whole purpose of the Lacy law-opportunistically using the death of this young woman to try and overcome Roe V Wade. It'd be nice to know how Lacy felt about the right to choose.

I can't understand how the prosecution could lose this one!! Man, if this turns out as bad as the OJ trial, I can't imagine the outrage (and perhaps a riot?)that will follow.....

#1. He placed himself on Christmas Eve (when she disappeared) near the bay where the bodies were found??? Hello??? That's pretty damning evidence right there. How can that be disputed???
#2. The cleaning lady that helped Laci is testifying that bleach was heavy in the air when she came over to the house the day after Laci disappeared. (Does bleach cover up blood when police use Luminol, I wonder?).
#3. Like OJ, he had cut his hand with a knife that day she disappeared?
#4. He promised "another woman" that he wouldn't have to travel so much for his job (his lie to cover about spending time with Laci) down the road & they could be together forever. Another piece of damning evidence to a juror.
#5. He sold Laci's car shortly after she disappeared. That would tell me that he knew she wouldn't be found alive.
#6. He had called & told his mother-in-law that same day she disappeared that she was "missing". She found it odd that he didn't ask her if Laci was at their house, or if they knew were she was???
#7. Upon news of his warrant & pending arrest, he was found close to the Mexican border, dyed his hair, used his brother's ID, and a huge amount of cash.

Sheesh! Even Stevie Wonder could see this coming - he's GUILTY as sin.

P.S. And yes, Connor could have lived outside his mother at the stage he was developed, so there are TWO victims by California State Law. Obviously over 80% of Americans agreed about the recent Federal Law, as evidenced by THREE different polls (I have the sources) about H.R. 1997 ("Lacy & Connor's Law). The abortion argument is moot. The law passed, and it should have, period. It forced other states to examine & change their own existing laws on the murder of a pregnant woman (such as Iowa).

If any good came out of the loss of that wonderful girl named Laci, (and that fully-developed little boy) at least their tragic death changed laws to better protect the INNOCENT. :prayer:

What are your thoughts about the prosecution being able to get a conviction based on circumstantial evidence?

For those interested, I found that Court TV’s Nancy Grace is conducting a series of live interviews with some interesting people related to the case. Some people scheduled for the shows are Juror #5, FBI agents, detectives, etc. This airs Monday – Thursday (July 13th – 15th) at 11pm each night.
