TCapp said:Yes, God is incapable of doing some things. He cannot make a square circle. But His abilities (or lack therof) to accomplish things are not the same as His power. He is very powerful.

Jahservant said:God doesn't lie.
The Devil does.
In fact, the Devil's first lie was that God is a liar.
Ironic isn't it.
The Father of the lie calling the God of Truth a liar.
This in itself demonstrates that Satan knew that lying is morally wrong and that by identifying God as a liar he would perhaps cause Adam and Eve to have doubts.
Genesis 2
17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
Genesis 3
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
John 8:44
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
God gives freedom of choice...if a person wishes to be deceived....God will allow that to happen. God will not force his truth on anyone. The key phrase was 'have delight in wickeness'. The person wanted to not believe God, to believe a lie...and so God gave them what they wanted.God of Atheism said:God cannot lie? Wow, some all-powerful being you have there.
Regardless of whether he can or he can't, he did.
Not in words, but he did deceive people to make them wicked and condemn them.
2 Thessalonians 2
11For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
There you have it. God sent them a delusion so he may condemn them. You may say they were already condemned but if that is so, why did God take time out of his busy schedule to deceive them? Isn't that Satan's job?
