Jewels and crowns?

Revelation 2:10 talks about the crown of life that Jesus will give us.
I'm sure there are more references in the bible to jewels and crowns but I can't think of them right now.
When I think of a crown, I think of a symbol of honor. The prodigal son story in Luke 15 talks about the father throwing a celebration to honor his son when His son returned. He honored his son with a the best robe, a ring, and a feast.
So when I think of heaven, I think of a celebration and Jewels and crowns remind me of the prodigal son story.I think it is just a way of saying G-d wants to celebrate us like in the prodigal son story.

Crown translated from 4735 Greek:

4735 stephanos stef'-an-os

from an apparently primary stepho (to twine or wreathe); a chaplet (as a badge of royalty, a prize in the public games or a symbol of honor generally; but more conspicuous and elaborate than the simple fillet, 1238), literally or figuratively :--crown.

2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

Jam 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love him.

Rev 2:10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

1Pe 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd is manifested you will obtain the unfading crown of glory.

And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.

1Co 9:25

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.

2Ti 4:8

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Jas 1:12

Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Re 2:10

I don't know if it is a literal crown. It may be a figure of speech, like "A woman's hair is her crown." It doesn't mean that her hair is a made from a crown, or even styled to look like a crown. It's a figure of speech.

But, where'd you get the idea that everyone is absolutely equal in heaven, or in the New Jerusalem?

Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one's work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
