CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is this a real discussion in the US? What is driving this discussion, to my knowledge the effect on suicides is basically nil. I've not read a lot but this article actually give it a slightly lower risk for the vaccinated (it is only marginally significant, so let's say that there is basically no effect).
ETA: I checked the suicide rate in Sweden (Suicides in Sweden) there is no Covid vaccine effect to talk about. I think the COVID-19 vaccine coverage was 88-89%, iirc.

I don't doubt that what Senator Johnson is saying is true.
Many have been left with life-altering injuries.
It has got to be depressing for them.
It's not hard to find stories like this one on YouTube, the internet ...
The family of an NHS pharmacist who took his own life after suffering complications from a COVID jab are calling for urgent reform of the government's compensation scheme for vaccine damage. John Cross was told by the official medical assessor for the scheme that the jab had caused his rare neurological effects, but that he was not disabled enough for a payment. Mr. Cross was unable to move, blink or breathe after his first dose of the vaccine.

Okay, now that's a severe and outlandish case that, while serious enough to warrant a look, is nowhere near at all what the senator is saying or suggesting.

Like, saying that the people who took the COVID jab are committing 'mass suicide' is such an out there comment that it needs evidence to back it up.

It's a small sample, and the question wasn't directly asked that way, but at least 73% of CF members who answered the poll said they had been vaccinated.
And about two thirds 'vaxxed to the max' over the first 3 years.
