Hebrews 4:1-11
9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased
from his works as God did from His.
11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall
according to the same example of disobedience.
Overcoming By The Word Of Our Testimony
A Saint has entered the Lord's Rest when they have this testimony:
2 Corinthians 10:
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against
the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Even As Christ Himself Was Beyond All Condemnation
John 5:
16 For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him,
because He had done these things on the Sabbath.
17 But Jesus answered them,
“My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
The Grace Of God Is Empowerment
Galatians 2:21 “I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes
through the law, then Christ died in vain.”
The Lord's Rest Is Found In Perfecting Obedience Daily
John 5:
18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath,
but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.
19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing
of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
This Is To Be Led By The Spirit
Galatians 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Rest Is Attained When The Saint Ceases From His Own Works [Hebrews 4:10]
John 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you,
the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do;
for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
This Is The Faith Of The Son Of God
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
