Lets actually look at this...Jesus summed up the entire OT in 2 commandments. He said God would do what is required of Him and told us what simply was required of us. Adversity was not on the agenda over previous commandments as His two covered them all.
Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, 2 that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged. 3 Therefore hear, O Israel, and [a]be careful to observe it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the Lord God of your fathers has promised you—‘a land flowing with milk and honey.’
Eze 20:15 So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands, 16 because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.
as I said, His two covered them all. Servitude to the will of the Father (over our own) which is servitude to each other in need , enemies included. No need to micromanage. So they are grounded in OT principles
So, your version of not micromanaging is just saying we should do God's will (a lot), but leave out what God said is His will, or the parts we don't like. No one is forcing you to read or reply to my posts, I share the Scriptures, because God's will that He said, is not being shared, the majority do not want to hear it, its actually the exact pattern of the Scripture.as I said, His two covered them all. Servitude to the will of the Father (over our own) which is servitude to each other in need , enemies included. No need to micromanage.
And that includes what makes up the summary, even the one people teach to forget, the opposite of what God said, that Jesus is LORD of.His will is in those two commandments. Jesus left nothing out.
Jesus said He is LORD of the Sabbath day Mark2:28 He invited everyone to join themselves to Him and serve Him and tells us how Isa 56:6 the everlasting gospel tells us to get back to worship the God of Creation Exo20:11 Rev14:7 because all nations are not doing so Rev14:8 and if it wasn't important to God, He would have never said Remember. Sorry if this is inconvenient for some, but its still God's Word and His will. He’s the Lord of all so no sense focusing on one thing. Besides He didn’t say when all will follow the sabbath or baptism or whatever that the end would come
Jesus wasn't sent to "man" in general re: Mark 2:27Yes and look to where God Himself related His sign- to Creation before Israel, before Moses, just God and man. The only God man was ever called to worship, the God who has the power to make Exo20:11 Rev14:7. Why Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man Mark2:27 not Jew, He is LORD of the Sabbath day and I certainly want Him Lording over me, but He gives us free will to choose who we will serve, just as He did in Scripture and we will all have to live with those decisions Rom6:16KJV Rev22:11. He said the Sabbath is for everyone who wants to join themselves to the LORD, love His name and serve Him Isa 56:6 why He blesses the man, who keeps the Sabbath Isa 56:2 and in the same breath, says not keeping it is doing evil.
Do not deceive ourselves into thinking doing what God deems as righteousness and justice is only for Jews Isa56:1-2 and doing what He deems as evil applies only to Jews, doing justice and righteousness is the foundation of God's throne Psa89:14. Lets not deceive ourselves into thinking we can define what is righteousness and not God. Psa 119:172 Isa 56:1-2 while His is everlasting Psa 119:142, we can define what is sin and not God. Exo20:20 Exo20:1-17 that Jesus applies to everyone Mat5:19-30 as did James 2:10-11 and did the NT writers 1John3:4 Rom7:7 because they were never in rebellion to God's Authority.
If one feels there is a better Testimony than God's Exo31:18 by all mean go live by that Isa8:20, but that's not an argument with me, Jesus said mankind should live by every Word of God, not man. Mat4:4
There has never been two gospels one for Gentiles one for Jews, all people are saved from sin Mat1:21 not in sin Heb10:26-30 God defines sin Exo20:20 Exo20:1-17 1John3:4 James 2:11 Rom7:7 Mat5:19-30 not us, when we remove what is under God's mercy seat Exo25:21 which is a copy of what is in Heaven Heb9:23-24 Heb8:5 Rev11:19 it doesn't remove that law, God's Ten Commandments that God Himself wrote and spoke, cannot be edited Ecc3:14 Mat5:18-19 it just removes what His blood covers, which is not what we want Pro28:13 Exo20:6 Heb10:26-30
So Jesus wasn't sent to save "man" from their sins Mat1:21 1John3:5Jesus wasn't sent to "man" in general re: Mark 2:27
Matthew 15:24
He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
There was according to God Exo20:11 that who my faith is in.There was no Sabbath keeping prior to Mt Sanai.
And the LORD said to Moses, 'How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?'" Exo 16:28
God didn't say, "Tomorrow I am creating the Sabbath." He referred to it as an already existing holy day and said where, from Creation Exo20:11 before Jew, before Israel, before Moses, why Jesus said the Sabbath was made for mankind, not Jew, God knows the difference."Then he said to them, 'This is what the LORD has said: "Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. Exo 16:23
Deuteronomy 5:3He did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with all of us who are alive here today. 4The LORD spoke with you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.
Here's the reason they were commanded to keep the Sabbath: Deut 5: 15Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. That is why the LORD your God has commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.
You would have no idea what I do, Best to focus on what we do 2Cor5:10, God is the only one who knows what we all do, nothing anyone can hide from Him Ecc12:13-14You don't keep the Sabbath.
They were under a theocracy. Judgment for us is the last day John12:48 The same consequences, the wages of sin is death Rom6:23 sin is breaking the law of God 1 John2:3 God's version Exo20:20 Exo20:1-17 James 2:11 Rom 7:7 not man's. That would put oneself in the place of God in doing so instead of allowing God to be God. Jesus gave up His life for our sins, not so we can continue in sin Heb10:26-30 but bury them with Christ at the Cross, walking a new life in Him Rom6:1-4Did you say every word? Remember not to add or take away from the following.
Exodus 35:“These are the things that the LORD has commanded you to do: 2For six days work may be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of complete rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on that day must be put to death.
Yes, they had sacrifices and offerings everyday in the OT as a consequence of sin for breaking the law of God. Animal sacrifices and offerings could never take away sins, why Jesus had to come.Numbers 28:
9On the Sabbath day, present two unblemished year-old male lambs, accompanied by a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, as well as a drink offering.10This is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, in addition to the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.
Where are the commands and instructions to the church to keep the Sabbath?
We there is no Scripture that says "we don't keep the Sabbath commandment anymore" but I agree sacrifices in the NT are spiritual. Sabbath-keeping is not just spiritual spending holy time with our Creator on the day He sanctified to do so, He also wants us to spend physical time on the Sabbath resting from our works and labors to do so , why Sabbath rest is still according to the commandment of God. Luke 23:56 Acts 13:42 Acts 13:44 Acts 17:2 Acts 18:4 Acts 15:21 Heb4:9NIV Mat24:20 why this passage Jesus said Isa 56:6 included future Isa 56:1-2 and why Jesus quoted this passage in His day. Isaiah was a prophet of God and predicted future things like the Second Coming of Jesus like Sabbath-keeping be kept together with all nations thus saith the LORD. That never happened in the OT.Isaiah 56
6And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD
to minister to Him, to love the name of the LORD,
and to be His servants—
all who keep the Sabbath without profaning it
and who hold fast to My covenant—
7I will bring them to My holy mountain
and make them joyful in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and sacrifices
will be accepted on My altar,
for My house will be called a house of prayer
for all the nations.”(Mark 11:17)
See, we don't keep the Sabbath in the flesh anymore, it's "in Christ" with spiritual sacrifices.
You're missing context here. Especially when the same word has several different meanings and Paul told us what he was referring to, the handwritten ordinances Col2:14KJV that were written by Moses 2Chron33:8, that were contrary and against Deut 31:24-26 not the Testimony of God written by God Exo31:18 that Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man, not against man, that He is LORD of, seriously people do not realize what they are saying here by misapplying this verse. This would mean God made something at Creation Exo20:11 to be against man- God is against man after He created man in His own image Gen1:26, what He is LORD of is against man. God's blessing is against man. Exo20:11 Isa 56:2 This would also place Paul as the master, when he said he was Christ’s servant Rom1:1 and a servant serves the way the Master says Isa56:6 not how we want which defeats the purpose. John13:16. I can see why there is a warning about misunderstanding Paul and where that path can lead 2Peter3:16The Sabbath was a feast day (Leviticus 23:1-3)and the feasts and their Sabbaths were a shadow of the good things to come. Hebrews 10:1 and Col 2:17
Amen- God' promised not to change the words of His covenant Psa89:34 what God does is forever Ecc3:14 not a jot or tittle Mat5:18-19 why the words never changed, the location did. From tablets of stone to tablets of the heart. 2Cor3:3 Jer 31:33 Heb8:10The new covenant is written on our hearts not on tablets of stone
2 Corinthians 3:3
In Jeremiah's day when God spoke of New Covenant, they broke every one of the Ten Commandments- you can read about it and I would suggest really studying it and ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, not just throw Scripture quotes without understanding them, especially something that was written by God Himself God's own Testimony Exo31:18Are you still getting your commandments from "tablets of stone"?
My point is that under the old covenant those who broke the Sabbath within the gates of the city were to be put to death. They were also required to bring sacrifices. Do you do that? It doesn't take a genius to know you're not keeping the Sabbath based on the law.So Jesus wasn't sent to save "man" from their sins Mat1:21 1John3:5
Yes, not everyone accepts His promises and free gifts sadly. Its been that way for a long time.
There was according to God Exo20:11 that who my faith is in.
The seventh day was made holy long before there was an Israel, an Egypt, or Mount Sinai.
God didn't say, "Tomorrow I am creating the Sabbath." He referred to it as an already existing holy day and said where, from Creation Exo20:11 before Jew, before Israel, before Moses, why Jesus said the Sabbath was made for mankind, not Jew, God knows the difference.
Moses was speaking to the second generation of Israelites before entering Canaan. His point was that they themselves were entering into this covenant, not merely their parents. Its the exact commandments from when God spoke them directly in Exodus 20
If verse 3 meant God had never made covenant promises with the patriarchs, it would contradict Exodus itself:
"And God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. Exodus 2:24
And:
I have also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan...Exo 6:4

Jesus was predicted to put an end to sacrifices which He fulfilled perfectly Heb 10:1-10
Dan9:27Then he shall confirm a [k]covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
But that had no bearing on the Sabbath that came before sin, before sacrifices and continued decades and decades after the Cross without sacrifices Acts 15:21 Acts 13:42 Acts 13:44 Acts 18:4 Acts 17:2 as Christ Himself predicted Mat24:20 Isa 56:6 and will continue forevermore with God's saints Rev14:12 Rev22:14 Isa66:22-23

In Jeremiah's day God's people would not allow God to define sin either, they broke every one of the Ten Commandments including the Sabbath and had no idea they were sinning Jer 16:10 their sins were so deep it was engraved in the tablets of their heart. Yes I addressed both points with Scripture in the post you're replying to.My point is that under the old covenant those who broke the Sabbath within the gates of the city were to be put to death. They were also required to bring sacrifices. Do you do that?
It doesn't take a genius to know you're not keeping the Sabbath based on the law.
So, what are you basing your Sabbath keeping on?
It's absolutely wonderful to understand the law and uphold it AGAINST the evil present within us.Lets actually look at this...
So its best to allow the Bible to define the Bible Pro3:5-6 and not define things especially when God Himself wrote it out for us so plainly.
Well, yeah, all that too.My point is that under the old covenant those who broke the Sabbath within the gates of the city were to be put to death. They were also required to bring sacrifices. Do you do that? It doesn't take a genius to know you're not keeping the Sabbath based on the law.
So, what are you basing your Sabbath keeping on?
Thank you for the blessing, that's what God said it is when people attack you for sharing God's word and not have one shred of evidence why the Scriptures shared are not true, so they just result to name-calling. Mat5:10-12 Its always better to post from Scripture why someone is wrong, but when it comes to the Testimony of God, which I believe exactly how God wrote it, its not disproving me, but the One who wrote it Himself Exo31:18It's absolutely wonderful to understand the law and uphold it AGAINST the evil present within us.
Why is that so hard for "you" to understand? Why do you try to pull the proverbial wool over God's Eyes, as if He doesn't know?
Your stance is classic religious hypocrisy. Unfortunately too common. I dare call such positions blatantly dishonest
People don't care to really HEAR God in Christ is the reality.Thank you for the blessing, that's what God said it is when people attack you for sharing God's word
When did I deny the scriptures? Just because I point out the fact that the very real evil within everyone never follows the law, is legally obedient or even remotely compliant didn't make me deny a single jot or tittle of the LAWs.and not have one shred of evidence why the Scriptures shared are not true, '
Your spin. Jesus said evil does come from within. Take offense at reality. The charade that anyone is technically legally compliant isn't even credible in light of Jesus' Own Wordsso they just result to name-calling
You've been in denial of personal applicability of Mark 7:21-23 (and the multiple corresponding scriptures) as long as it's been pointed out to you (numerous times and a long time)Mat5:10-12 Its always better to post from Scripture why someone is wrong,
The joke is on you for being in denial of God's Words while claiming compliancebut when it comes to the Testimony of God, which I believe exactly how God wrote it, its not disproving me, but the One who wrote it Himself Exo31:18
So again, really nothing, just a bunch of accusations. Thankfully we all answer to someone much Greater.People don't care to really HEAR God in Christ is the reality.
EVIL does come from within and defiles us. You included, Mark 7:21-23, believe it or not. It doesn't change the hard fact of it.
Nor does pulling the poor ol me card, that you are oppressed for upholding the law. I uphold it as well, and I'd suggest for more precise reasons than your positional claims can handle, poor ol me notwithstanding
When did I deny the scriptures? Just because I point out the fact that the very real evil within everyone never follows the law, is legally obedient or even remotely compliant didn't make me deny a single jot or tittle of the LAWs.

See, you have no other option for Sabbath keeping than to turn to the law. Exodus 20 and the 10 commandments came directly from Mt Sanai. Here's how Paul likens it. The covenant from Mt Sanai bears children for slavery while the new covenant corresponds to the Jerusalem from above.Yes I addressed both points with Scripture in the post you're replying to.
I base keeping the Sabbath based on love to God. Exo20:6 the same commandments He said not to have any other gods, no idol worship, not vain His holy name and in this same unit He said Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy, the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God to keep for those who love Him Exo20:6. Uniquely in the Sabbath commandment, He revealed the God we are to apply all of the commandments to, the God of Creation Exo20:11, the only God we are to worship Rev14:7 and it also included love to man like not murder, steal, lie cheat, all in God's own personally written Testimony by God Himself Exo31:18 If you think there is a greater testimony man should live by than God's that's our free will, life is all about choices and living with our decisions Rev22:11
I turn to God on what He said to do for those who love Him, this is God speaking here.....See, you have no other option for Sabbath keeping than to turn to the law.
Sin started before Mt Sinai Rom4:15. So did God's righteousness. Exo20:11 Isa56:1-2 Psa 119:142Exodus 20 and the 10 commandments came directly from Mt Sanai. Here's how Paul likens it. The covenant from Mt Sanai bears children for slavery while the new covenant corresponds to the Jerusalem from above.
In order to understand this passage, one would need to understand the references from the OT on what Paul is quoting. Paul never taught to disobey God or God's commandments, he said keeping them is what matters 1Cor7:19Gal 4:21Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not listen to the law? 22For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave woman and one by a free woman. 23But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, while the son of the free woman was born through promise. 24Now this may be interpreted allegorically: these women are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery; she is Hagar. 25Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia; she corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. 26But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.
