My Peoples now in Exile:

Amos 8:11-14 The Lord says: The time is coming when there will be a famine on the Land, not of hunger, but for hearing the Word of God. People will search for the truth, but will not find it. All who swear by false gods will fall, to rise no more. The demise of Islam.

Amos 9:1-6 I saw the Lord standing by the altar – He said: break down the buildings onto the heads of the people and any who are left, I shall put to the sword. Wherever they hide, I will find them and destroy them. At the Touch of the Lord, the earth heaves, all who live there mourn. He is the One who created the heavens and the earth. This is the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath.

Amos 9:7-12 Are not you Israelites like the Cushites to Me? I brought you up from Egypt. My eyes are on this sinful nation and I will judge them. Yet, I will not completely destroy Jacob’s posterity. I shall give the command to sieve Israel among the nations, without one pebble falling to the ground. All the sinners among My people will die. On that Day, I shall restore David’s fallen house and rebuild it as it was long ago, so that Israel may possess what is left of Edom and all those nations who were once named as Mine.
All of Jacob’s posterity, natural and Spiritual; those that are judged righteous, will possess all of the Promised Land. Isaiah 11:11-12

Amos 9:13-15 A time is coming when the Land will prosper and be fruitful. I shall bring back My exiled people, they will restore their towns and vineyards. They will enjoy the produce of the Land. Once more, I shall plant My people in their own soil, never again to be removed from the Land that I have given them. REB [abridged]


The sequence of events is clear – firstly a lack of good Bible teaching and preaching. Those who search for the truth, will not find it, unless their heart is right with God. Then, in Amos 9:1-8, describes the Day of the Lords vengeance and wrath, when disaster will fall onto all the world, but particularly the area of the Middle East. The Jewish people will be punished. Jeremiah 12:14-17.

But the descendants of Jacob, that is all 12 tribes of Israel are still known to God. He will gather and judge them. Ezekiel 20:34-36, Isaiah 1:25, Deuteronomy 32:36.
They will be joined by all the faithful Christians who are grafted in by their faith and righteousness.

V. 11-12 Then, “On that day, I will restore David’s fallen house”. The Temple will be rebuilt, Zechariah 6:15 then later: at the Return of Jesus, He will fulfil God’s promise to David, that His royal line will continue forever. “so that Israel may possess what is left of Edom”, also the lands of other nations in the entire Holy Land, depopulated by His Day of wrath..

This enables the Lord’s Christian people to be a ‘light to the nations’ and preach the good news of the coming Kingdom. It also fulfils God’s promises to the Patriarchs, that their posterity will live in peace and prosperity in ALL the Land that was given to them.

the Lord will bestow on His people all those amazing blessings as promised throughout the Bible. There will be times of difficulty, and testing; as when the Anti Christ stops the offerings in the New Temple, but those who hold firm to their faith in God, will see Jesus Return in His Glory and will reign with Him.

On the day the Lord saves His people....
Isaiah 30:26 .....the sun will shine with seven times its usual brightness and the moon will be as bright as the sun, like seven days on one.
Isaiah 63:4 I resolved on a Day of vengeance, the year for redeeming My own had come.

These verses, along with many others, tell us that His people – righteous Christian Israelites, all the faithful Christian peoples, will be protected and redeemed on the same Day that the Lord takes vengeance on His enemies.
A graphic description of Day of vengeance is in Psalms 18:7-15 ....He parted the heavens and came down....He flew on the back of a cherub.....He made darkness His covering. Thick clouds came from the radiance before Him... He hurled forth lightning shafts.

Verses 10-11 allegorically describes the Lords mode of transport and that He won’t actually be seen then- “dense vapour His canopy”. Whereas, at His glorious Return, on a white horse and accompanied by the armies of heaven, all the world will see.

Although this Day of the Lord’s wrath is described in Isaiah as 7 times brighter sunshine, the reason for this is a Coronal Mass Ejection; just the flash of an explosion on the suns surface and the Electro-Magnetic Pulse from it will actually microwave the earth’s crust. Deuteronomy 32:22
What will happen then is; earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions, resulting in plenty of smoke and ash clouds. Isaiah 30:25-30

It is perfectly obvious that what is prophesied on this Day of vengeance is not the same as at His Return, when He destroys the armies of the Anti Christ with the Sword of His Word.
We know that the Return of Jesus comes at the end of the Tribulation and the last “week”- the final seven years, of this age. Therefore that great event is still some time away, years after the Day of vengeance, when His people, righteous Christian Israelites, from every tribe, race, nation and language will gather and settle in all of the Promised Land. Isaiah 35:1-10, Ezekiel 34:11-16, Romans 9:24-26

The wonderful promises that the Lord has made to His people [His ‘sheep’] – gathered, redeemed and settled into all of the Holy Land, must be fulfilled; Zechariah 9:16-17
Hosea 14:5-7 I shall be as dew to Israel, that they may flower like the lily... put out fresh shoots...fair and fragrant as the olive tree. Israel will again live in My shadow, [not His presence, as yet] they will grow and flourish.

2 Esdras 1:35-36 I will give your [ peoples now living in the Holy Land] houses to a people yet to come, a people who will trust Me, though they had not known Me, who will do My bidding. I gave them no signs, they have seen no prophets, yet will keep in mind what the prophets taught of old.

Ezekiel 36:8-12 But you, mountains of Israel – put forth your branches and bear fruit, for My people, Israel, for their homecoming is near. I shall settle in you many people- the whole House of Israel, they will increase and be fruitful.

Turn thy Face Thitherward:

Jeremiah 50:5 & Jer. 51:50 They will ask the way to Zion, with their faces turned thitherward saying: Come; let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual Covenant, never to be forgotten. Remember the Lord from far off and let Jerusalem come into your mind. KJV.
This verse is often quoted as an example of the gathering of the Lord’s people at the commencement of the Millennium. Apart from the KJV’s archaic wording, other translations put it exactly the same. What needs to be considered is; Who is it asking the way to the holy Land and when does this happen?

Jeremiah 50:4 tells us exactly who this refers to: it is the peoples of the House of Israel; the Northern ten tribes and the people of Judah; the Jews. Isaiah 11:11-12
Jeremiah 50:6 My people are like lost sheep, whose shepherds have led them astray. They have run wild and wandered from mountain to hill, forgetful of their true inheritance.
Other than about half of the Jewish people, they are all now in exile. So it isn’t the Christian church as such, but all the descendants of Jacob, whether actual or grafted in and only God knows who they are, [Amos 9:9] scattered among the nations, but they will be the faithful Christian believers in the one true God and all those that place their trust in the Lord Jesus for their salvation.
The prophet Ezekiel in chapter 37, tells us about the spiritual regeneration and the physical rejoining of the House of Israel and the House of Judah. In Ezekiel 20:34-38, he tells how they will be gathered and judged, then they will go and settle into the holy Land. But to enable this to happen, all of the holy Land must be cleared and cleansed and this will be done by the ‘Lord’s outpoured wrath’. Ezekiel 20:46-48 explains how this will be achieved – the Lord will kindle a fire in the Land, it will burn everything from the Negev northward. This will be the Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, a terrible fire blasted out from the sun that will devastate the Middle East and will have dramatic worldwide repercussions. The prophecy that specifically tells us about the glorious Return of Jesus, Rev 19:11-21, does not speak of anything like this, His defeat of the Anti-Christ’s army is simply by the Sword of His Word, they are not burned up, as the birds and beasts feed on them. Matthew 24:31 states that: He will send His angels to gather His elect from around the world… they are those who refused the ‘mark of the beast’, and righteous Israel – taken [flown?] to a place of safety during the Tribulation. This is quite different from the many prophecies about the great second Exodus of Gods faithful Christian peoples before that, who come back to their heritage in other ways; Isaiah 66:20, Isaiah 60:8-9, Psalms 107.

God’s promises to the Patriarchs will be fulfilled and their descendants, literal and Spiritual, will live in peace and prosperity in the Promised Land. Psalms 105:5-10 They will be a ‘light to the nations, displaying the Lord’s holiness for all to see’. Isaiah 49:6, Isaiah 66:18-19, Ezekiel 39:27-29

Rescue of the Righteous Peoples:
Zechariah 8:2-23 Again, the word of the Lord came to me; I am very jealous for My holy Land, I am burning with jealousy for her. This is what the Lord says; I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem, it will be called the City of Faithfulness and the Temple mount will be called the Holy Mountain.
This is what the Lord Almighty says; Once again old people and children will inhabit the streets of Jerusalem. Even if this may seem impossible to the remnant of this nation, will it be impossible for Me?
I am about to rescue My people from countries in the East and West and bring them back to live in Jerusalem. They will be My people and I shall be their God, in faithfulness and justice.

These are the words of the Lord of Hosts; Take heart, all you who now hear that the Temple is to be rebuilt as the prophets foretold. Before that time, there was no hiring of man or beast, because of your enemies, for I had set every man against his neighbour. But, I do not feel the same toward the remnant of this people as I did in former days, says the Lord of Hosts. For they will sow in safety, I will give them rain and the Land will yield it’s produce. This is the inheritance of My people. To the nations you, House of Judah and House of Israel, have become as a curse; now I shall save you – you will become proverbial as a blessing. Courage, do not lose heart!

These are the words of the Lord; Just as I determined to bring disaster on you when your forefathers made Me angry, so I have resolved to do good again to Jerusalem and Judah. Do not be afraid. This is what you must do; speak the truth to each other and administer true justice in your courts. Do not plot evil and do not love perjury, for all these I hate. These are the words of the Lord; Keep the fasts of the 4th, 5th, 7th and 10th months. They will be festivals of joy for Judah. Love truth and peace. In future, nations and peoples will come to Jerusalem to entreat the favour of the Lord. In those days, 10 people from every nation will take hold of a Jew and say; Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.

‘I am about to rescue My people…they will be My people and I will be their God’. We know from New Testament teaching, that the Lord’s people are every true Christian person, Jew or Gentile. 1 Peter 2:9-10, Rev 5:9-10, Ezekiel 34:11-16 Now I shall take thought for My sheep…I will rescue them from wherever they are scattered in the Day of cloud and darkness. ‘the Day of cloud and darkness’, is the Day of the Lord’s wrath, a CME sunstrike that will de-populate the entire holy Land area, also causing worldwide devastation. Isaiah 30:25-30

‘I have set every man against his neighbour’. This is the current situation in the Middle East.

‘Courage, do not lose heart’. This proves that we must pass through the terrible testing and trials of the forthcoming Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath. A literal Day of fire from the sky, of earthquakes, storm winds and tsunamis. It will be a period of ‘cloud and darkness’, from the smoke and ash clouds that will envelope the earth. Zeph. 1:15, Matt.24:29,Joel 2:1-2

‘Peoples will come to Jerusalem to worship the Lord, in the new Temple’. From the context of this quote and from other prophesies, it is clear that this will happen before the Return of Jesus for His Millennial, worldwide reign. Ezekiel 43:4…the Shekinah Glory of God will come into the Temple by the East gate. And even though verse 23 mentions a Jew, as one who enjoys the Lord’s favour, we know from verse 13 and many other prophesies that Christians from every nation and language, Isaiah 56:1-8, will become citizens of Beulah, Isaiah 62:1-5, the new nation formed after the judgement/punishment of fire has cleared and cleansed the entire Middle East.
