  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Prayer for my health and well being.

So within the past few weeks I've been in the ER a lot. I was in the ER for the past few days because 3 weeks ago I had an active dental infection and didn't know it. 3 days ago I started noticing massive pain in my lower teeth. Since it was the day before the fourth of July all of the doctors offices were closed and the Emergency room was beyond busy and I would have waited to be seen for hours and hours.

So really I only had two options, go to the walkin clinic in town or spend almost an entire day in the ER. I opted for dental clinic and she confirmed I had a very serious dental infection and gave my the maximum dose of amoxicillin available.

The day after I had difficulty breathing and swallowing and for some reason the ER was much less busy on July 4th and they were able to see me right away. The doctor on call gave me a very large dose of antibiotics and did a culture and everything. And he gave me steroids for my breathing.

He did a catscan of my face and neck and couldn't believe what he was seeing. The bacteria had avoided my throat (thank God) but they were very active in my chin and cheeks. The bacteria had moved from the gums in my teeth and had migrated down to the bottom of my chin. Fearful that the bacteria would travel to my throat and kill me he came back to my room and said he wanted to admit me.

I didn't want to be admitted so I negotiated with him that he could improve my antibiotics. So he gave me a massive amount of antibiotics to take home and I've been very sore the past few days and last night I went back because I thought the infection may have spread to my throat because the left side of my throat hurt.

The doctor on call last night knew me personally because of how often I'm in the emergency room and he did an examination and concluded the antibiotics were keeping the bacteria at bay and thought another catscan was unnecessary so he sent me home.

Today my throat no longer hurts for some reason but my chin and tooth hurt a lot when I open my mouth. I've been praying nonstop the past few days that these antibiotics work and the very dangerous infection goes away. It will take a few weeks to kill all of the bacteria considering how bad the infection was. I'm also going to need to get that tooth removed because it's an active source of bacteria right now.

So... I'd like prayer that this infection goes away and I get better. I'm a little concerned the infection is winning and my body isn't going to heal. I can't get rid of the uneasy feeling and I'm trying to trust God but it's hard...

My dental infection is getting better but I was in the emergency room 5 times this week. I was just evaluated last night for massive chest pain that made my left arm and later on my right leg go numb. It took them over an hour to get me a bed and the pain just kept increasing. Very scary.

My two ekgs, blood work and everything else came out normal and the cold numb feeling in my leg went away after a while.

I've just been having constant panic attacks since last Friday and I'm on my way to see a psychiatrist right now will let you know what they say.

I pray that God would get rid of all the bacteria that have infected you and would restore you to full physical health. I also pray that God would heal your mental health and get rid of all the panic attacks. In Jesus' name, amen.
