  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IDF Targetting children.

Continuous Hamas led attacks against Israel brought about those deaths. The terrorists are to blame.
They're guilty for soldiers raping people (Palestinians..dont want to offend anyone) too probably.

Probably also guilty for Israel celebrating soldiers who rape Palestinians too by putting them on TV and bragging about it.

Look at what the Evil Palestinians made them do!

What a pile of trash argument.

Which fact checking shows that the report is false? Be objective.
The opening sentence in the OP is apparently false info that doesn't appear in the report. That's what I was addressing.

Just because I responded to what the OP wrote doesn't mean I didn't look at the report. You guys constantly attacking like this is why your threads have become echo chambers. I'll leave you folks to one another.

No, what suggests that you didn't look at the report is your complete failure to answer any questions about the report despite responding to multiple questions about it.

But I guess running away instead of answering questions is a classic for a reason.

In reading what snopes has to say there are only unverified a counts by victims.

So those people that you could never respect or trust? Looks like those reports aren't included in the report itself.

I asume now that youve read the report and just glossed overyou're not
the brutality of the documented sexual violence being perpetrated on the kids...and adults.

Im sure you're horrified..... at how these western doctors dare to lie for hamas...

While it's true that Hamas has been notorious for using human shields, and purposely planting arms/equipment in civilian infrastructure (which is one of the reasons I was initially skeptical of some of the claims & criticisms early on)

Enough footage, eyewitness account, and statistics have demonstrated that Israel's response has been disproportionate even taking those aspects into consideration.

Israel has been leveraging "the bad thing Hamas does" as a "bomb whatever we want for free" card since they can always point to those aspects as justification.

While I by no means have the unrealistic expectation that, in a war environment, there has to be perfect parity in terms of casualty count, and that anything more constitutes a "disproportionate response" -- there is still a tipping point on that where it's so disproportionate that one can rightfully see it as very excessive.

And for me
70,000 killed, another 160k injured + destroying 60% of civilian infrastructure
in response to
1200 killed + 300 abductions

...is well past that tipping point.

I'm not running away, I'm just going to avoid interrupting the echo chamber. That's what you guys want isn't it?

Did Israel continue after Hamas completely surrendered?

Do you then retract this statement?

Fact checking shows the report is false.

It is not trust inspiring to condemn the report without reading it.

Nope, it's still there.

I was referring to the OP's report. I'm allowed to do that aren't I? Or is there a rule that says you can't address what the OP himself reports?

Or a rule that says if you address something the OP said that's not in the posted article... while pointing out that it's not in the posted article... that means you did not read the posted article?

That was a post. The information in the original post has not been shown false by France 24 either. There might be more clips, but the one I saw was about a specific purple teletubby. That is not a statement about anything in general.

Did I miss a clip by them, that you feel is relevant?

Where did you point out what was in or not in the posted article?

that means you did not read the posted article?
Have you read the actual report now?

Decency would suggest you don't get to keep attacking the neighbors of the people you're mad at (and taking over their land) just because the people you're at odds with have still failed to surrender.

If you attacked me, and I retaliated by attacking not only your property, but the property of your neighbors, after it'd already been known that I had preexisting greater ambitions of a "Greater Neighborhood" project where I already had my eyes set on taking over your neighbor's property even before your attack, it'd raise some eyebrows would it not?

The "Greater Israel" concept, which envisions a state extending from the Nile to the Euphrates was already in existence before the attacks. Which means "give me an excuse to do the thing I wanted to do anyway".

And their behaviors have proved that out.

There's a pattern of "setting up a security buffer" (IE: occupying the land of another entity), and then after they decide to push the line a little further for the "buffer", people start relocating to and inhabiting the previous "buffer zone".

The settlement expansion isn't just a figment of everyone's imagination.

Have you seen the footage of how the settlers behave?, they're obnoxious degenerates and it would make any reasonable person's blood boil with revenge fantasies of "what I'd do if someone tried to take my house like that" if it happened here.

If anyone tried to take over my property the way some of those settlers take over the property of the Palestinians (which often involves beating up elderly, women, and children...sometimes to death)...while the "authorities" stand by and watch and do nothing (or sometimes join in), I'd be letting the lead fly.

The irony is, most of the offenders practice Hasidic Judaism, which has as about as much to do with original Judaism as a ham & cheese sandwich. (the Jews of biblical times would look at modern Hasidic and Rabbinic Judaism, and not even recognize it, which makes sense given that it was invented in the late 1700's in Ukraine)
