  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It must be her encounters with a statue of Our Lady. Before her conversion, she was curious about the Catholic Church. When she first entered a church, she felt an extraordinary and irresistible attraction towards the statue.

I wish that people could just attempt to understand the struggles of another, even If they have never experienced those struggles themselves. I'm tired of certain individuals dismissing my struggles or thinking that their problems are bigger than mine. The latter may be true, but I think it's very emotionally damaging when people don't even try to listen or understand when someone is hurting...

To everyone here at CF, Happy St. Valentine's Day! As a lover of Victorian things, I've always been fond of the aesthetic of the beautiful valentines that were made during that time period and how the Victorians expressed their love on this holiday. I'm a big fan of Gregorian chant. Before I moved, I used to go to a Catholic church for Sunday Mass that had a beautiful Gregorian chant choir. I found this Easter Hymn on YouTube, and I thought I'd post it here since we are still in the Octave of Easter. It is very beautiful, and I love how it has an English translation so I can follow along. Happy Easter season! Christ is risen!:angel:

It's been exactly two years since I joined CF.^_^ This might sound kind of funny, but I remember I was so nervous when I first became a member here! I had never been on an online forum before, had hardly used social media, and I really didn't have any online friends or acquaintances at the time. I feel very grateful for having met some very nice people on CF, and it's also a plus that my story, La La Mermaid, has been well received here by a few of those people, too.:satisfied:

Well, I began work on the cover for La La Mermaid Volume 2, but I decided to drop that for a while so I can focus on finishing the rough draft of the last chapter in this volume. (Working on two big creative projects at the same time can get overwhelming fast.o_O)

Once I finish writing, though, I'll get back to my cover art and maybe even upload a video of it on YouTube.;)
