  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Bride of Christ, like wedding vows, through good and bad, sick and health, etc. Relationship. It may be raining, but Christ is surely holding the umbrella for us. He hurts when we hurt, as it is a "together" thing, and everything happens for a reason. Romans 8:28

Our personal circumstances obviously and understandably affect our faith. I believe the science of this fallen world can only lead to death which is just an impersonal and logical result. I look to the Lord ( John 16:33).


I still pray for God to do good for us in all things in this life ( like Solomon does in 1 Kings 8:22-53), for our daily bread and hope of our future salvation ( Matthew 6:9-13), & as Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 2:1-6. Since I can share resources, I want to and am called to ( Matthew 6:1-4, Isaiah 58:1-14 etc.). If a person is poor then just pray keeping the Lord’s commandments in mind ( Matthew 22:36-40, Matthew 7:12 etc.). Then I read a chapter like Romans 8:1-39 for the promise of better, everlasting life & hope as many of us as possible will have it. I realize I have my issues and try to take stock of them ( 1 John 1:5-10 etc.).
