  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is the story of 2 high school students who suddenly begin to swap bodies despite having never met,..??
Re: "Your Name" (2017), There is a huge twist in the middle (several, actually) that go way beyond that summary. (If you know, please don't spoil the twist.)

Just wanted to add that I have to truly appreciate how God is impacting reality and other people to truly enjoy these films. For some reason, unlike the previous films I listed, with these films I can't just simply jump in at anytime of the film: I have to sit down and give them my full attention and watch them even though they're some of my favorite films.  My Babysitter the Superhero (2022), Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver (2018), Jim Button and the Wild 13 (2020), Just Super (2022), Disney's Avalon High (2010), Disney's Crater (2023), My Sweet Monster (2022), Play the Flute (2019), I Kill Giants (2017).

Well, growing up when I was a little girl I really was a Disney fan. I loved a lot of Disney movies. I was also into anime.

And then I grew older and outgrew Disney eventually.

And then when I was a teenager I saw something called Final Fantasy: Advent Children. It was tied to a video game. I thought it was pretty cool.

When I was an adult I saw Star Trek and Star Wars. And Narnia. Never got around to Game of Thrones though.

But mind you, I don't watch a lot of movies anymore. Haven't in years. Been too busy with other things nowadays...

I watched Shutter Island for the first time and it was both fascinating and deeply disturbing. I had to watch it twice to really get it.

That ending though...Was he really delusional or did he realize they were manipulating and gaslighting him and weren't going to let him go, so he decided the best thing to do was to go along with what they wanted?

I would like to see Heavens Rain.

Heaven's Rain is a 2010 American biographical drama film based on the true story of the lifelong quest of Brooks Douglass to bring his parents' killers and his sister's rapists to justice. The film is directed by Paul Brown, and was written by Brown and Douglass. The film debuted at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood on September 9, 2010.
